Terramino
Tetris is a computer game originally invented and developed by the Soviet programmer Alexey Pajitnov in 1984. Tetris is puzzle based and uses geometric tiles called the tetromino, they consist of four squares. The shapes seen in Tetris were used in different board games and puzzles long before the creation of Tetris. Over time, the game began to gain such widespread popularity that it was ported to many of the early computer systems game consoles, graphic calculators, mobile phones, media players, and even on TV sets. Tetris remains one of the best selling games ever and represents games from the arcade era.
The gameplay of Tetris is easy to pick up. One of seven possible random shapes will fall from the top of a field which size is 10 cells in width and 20 cells in height. While the shape is falling the player can turn it and move it in a horizontal direction. The shape falls until it touches another block on the bottom of the field. When a horizontal row of 10 cells is filled, it disappears and the player gets points. In order to make it more convenient for players to plan further actions, the next falling figure is shown on the side. The pace of the game is gradually increasing and the game itself ends when a new figure cannot be placed on the field.
