Lordi and Erika Vikman to perform at Eurovision final

This May marks the 20th anniversary of Lordi's overwhelming Eurovision win, Finland's only victory in the contest so far.

Finland's only Eurovision winner, the monster rock band Lordi, will perform at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) final in May.

Last year's Finnish Eurovision representative, Erika Vikman, will also appear as part of the same number, Yle has learned.

Lordi made the announcement on Instagram.

May marks the 20th anniversary of Finland's only ESC win in Athens. This year's Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Vienna, Austria.

Finland will be represented by Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen with the song "Liekinheitin" ("Flamethrower"). Finland is currently the bookmakers’ favourite to win this year’s competition.

Finland will compete in the first ESC semifinal on 12 May. The second semi-final of the contest will take place on 14 May and the final on 16 May. Yle will carry the events on TV, radio and online via Areena.
