After the annual ceremony in the Forest Haven, Oakin flies off to a distant part of the world to sow tree seeds and raise new patches of forest.
He is responsible for the forest on an island four squares west and five squares north of the Forest Haven.

Oakin is a Korok who lives in the Forest Haven. Before the Forest Ceremony, Oakin can be seen standing by the Baba Bud on the floor. After the Forest Ceremony, Oakin goes to the Star Island to plant new Trees.
Trivia
- Many Koroks resembling Oakin, including one known as Tasho, appear in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Nomenclature
Koroks in The Wind Waker seem to be named after trees. Oakin's name is derived from Quercus, which is known as oak, and its family, Fagus. His European Spanish name, Roblo, is derived from a Spanish common name of Quercus, roble.
