Bombfish
Bombfish are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3][4][5] They are blue, piranha-like fish with a Bomb in its mouth, greatly resembling a Water Bomb.
Characteristics
Twilight Princess
Bombfish can be found swimming in the waters of the Lakebed Temple and in hidden Caves in Hyrule Field. The Clawshot can be used to drag one towards Link as well as arm it, allowing it to be used in a manner similar to a regular Water Bombs. If caught while Fishing, the Bombfish can be kept as a Water Bomb. It does not have an entry in the Fish Journal, as it is "forbidden" to catch.[2] The main use of a Bombfish is to blow up walls in the Lakebed Temple maze. In the battle with Morpheel, it will release Bombfish from its mouth that will try to attack the young hero as he fights Morpheel.
Echoes of Wisdom
Bombfish are Fish Enemies that can be found in bodies of Water. When summoned as an Echo, Bombfish have an Echo cost of four. After being activated, Bombfish have a three-second countdown before they explode. If they are summoned on land, Bombfish will immediately activate and flail on the ground before exploding. If they will remain stationary until the see an Enemy, at which point they start their countdown and begin Swimming. Alternatively, Princess Zelda can start their countdown by Spinning near them or using Bind to make them touch a surface. Enemies attacking a Bombfish Echo will not cancel its explosion.[clarification needed]
