The Crater is the heart of Eldin Volcano, accessible through the Crater Shortcut. In the past, prospective Goron chiefs would purify themselves in the Crater after passing the Shortcut's trials, but this custom is no longer practiced.[2] At the start of the Main Quest "Lands of the Goddesses", a large Rift forms inside of the Crater, taking a large chunk of it and the surrounding Volcano into the Still World as Stilled Eldin Volcano. A single Waypoint is located inside of the Crater.
