The Chief's Room is the northernmost Keep of the Death Mountain Stage and the quarters of the Goron chieftain Darunia. Located in the center of Goron City, it is accessible only through the East or West Goron Keep. From the Goron Keeps, it can either be entered through the hall in the center of the City, or through a pair of tunnels branching off the path to the hall. The interior of the Chief's Room features six Bomb Flowers, four Pots, two rugs covered in Crests of the Gorons, and a Goron Statue built into its north wall. A Table containing a half-eaten Rock Sirloin sits in the northwest corner.
During the Scenario "Land of Myth", the Chief's Room serves as the Enemy Base for the Goron Forces and is initially inaccessible, as both the two Goron Keeps have raised gates. After Darunia's initial defeat, the Goron chief retreats to the Room to eat and recover.[3][4] After finishing his meal, he exits the Keep and reappears outside its south gate.[5][6] He does the same when defeated for the second time.[3][7] After Impa is escorted to the W. Boulder Keep, the Hyrulean Forces initiate a Boulder Attack that breaks the south gate of the Chief's Room, leaving Darunia vulnerable.[8] Shortly after, the east and west gates of the Room open as well.[9]
