Biography

Breath of the Wild

Kohm is a Gerudo who manages the Sand-Seal Rental Shop Northwest Booth in Gerudo Town. Her daughter, Frelly, trains the Sand Seals and manages the Sand-Seal Rental Shop Southeast Booth.^[4]

When Link speaks to Kohm, she introduces herself, reasoning that Link is the Hylian that Frelly was talking about.^[1] Kohm explains that they rent out Sand Seals and that their business is thriving.^[5] While it seems unlikely, their business is actually thriving, which is aided by the fact that customers can easily learn how to ride Sand Seals.^[6] The only thing Link will have to do is stand on his Shield, and the Sand Seal will pull him through the Gerudo Desert.^[7] Kohm also explains that due to their training, their Sand Seals are easier to ride than wild Sand Seals.^[8] She tells Link to let her know when he needs a Sand Seal.^[9]

The next time Link visits Kohm, she tells him that he will need a Sand Seal in order to cross the Gerudo Desert.^[10] She offers to rent him one for 20 Rupees.^[11] If Link asks how to "set seal," Kohm explains that he will only need to guide his Sand Seal.^[12] She claims that the best way to learn is through experience.^[13]
