Link can first encounter Pokki after discovering the Misae Suma Shrine in the East Barrens. Link cannot enter the Ancient Shrine because Pokki is collapsed over the pedestal where he must place his Sheikah Slate to gain entry. If Link speaks to Pokki, she will claim that she is dying of thirst and, before passing, she would like one last taste of a Noble Pursuit.[4] This gives Link the Shrine Quest, "The Perfect Drink", and he cannot enter the Shrine until he finishes the Quest. If Link speaks to Pokki after bringing ice to Furosa, he tells Pokki that there is a Noble Pursuit waiting for her in Gerudo Town. Pokki then stands up without any signs of dehydration and exclaims that she is leaving before running away toward town.[5] After the Quest, Pokki can be found inside The Noble Canteen talking to the bartender, Furosa, about how great the taste of Noble Pursuit is, swearing to quit investigating the shrine in the process.[6]

Tears of the Kingdom

After the "Riju of Gerudo Town" Main Quest is completed, Pokki can be found at the Sand-Seal Rental Shop East Gate Booth talking with Frelly. Link can eavesdrop to hear Pokki ask Frelly if any of her customers have seen ruins with large statues facing each other.[7] Frelly comments on how there are a number of ruins throughout Gerudo Desert and asks if Pokki has a map or any other information to clarify which ruins she is talking about.[8] Pokki complains that she used to have a map, but it was carried off by the wind and lost, and now the only thing she remembers is that the ruins are somewhere in the eastern desert.[9] Frelly tries to think longer, but notices Link standing nearby and apologizes to Pokki stating that she needs to get back to work. This starts the Side Quest, "To the Ruins!"

Pokki can then be found pacing nearby, pondering what she can do to get to the ruins.[10] If Link speaks with her, she will ask him if he has ever seen the ruins she was talking to Frelly about.[11] She asks if Link could take her to the ruins on a Sleigh Seal for a reward.[12] If Link declines, she says it isn't a big deal since most Gerudo don't even know about the ruins.[13] If Link agrees to take her, she'll wait by the East Gate to the town.[14] Link can rent a Sleigh Seal from Frelly near the east gate.

  4. I'd just found the shrine too... Ugh, my throat... It's so dry... I can't move a muscle... If this really is the end... I wish I could have one last taste... One sip... One sip of an ice-cold Noble Pursuit... — Pokki (Breath of the Wild)
  5. Did you say "best Noble Pursuit ever"? Pfft, I am GONE! — Pokki (Breath of the Wild)
  6. I ask you, Furosa, is there anything better than a taste of Noble Pursuit? — Pokki (Breath of the Wild)
  7. I heard there's a place out in the desert with huge statues that are all facing each other. Have any of your customers ever mentioned seeeing something like that while they're surfing the dunes? — Pokki (Tears of the Kingdom)
  8. Hmmm... Hard to say. The desert has it share of statues and ruins, and of course the Upheaval really changed things too. Do you have any more information to go on? Maybe a map or something? — Frelly (Tears of the Kingdom)
  9. I did have one, but the wind caught it and blew it off to who-knows-where... I know for sure that it's in the eastern part of the desert though. And like I said, the huge statues face each other. — Pokki (Tears of the Kingdom)
  10. What am I gonna do? — Pokki (Tears of the Kingdom)
  11. Hey! You! You look like you've done your fair share of exploring! Have you ever seen massive ruins with huge statues facing each other? It'd be... in the eastern part of the desert, I think? I lost my map, so I don't know exactly where they are... — Pokki (Tears of the Kingdom)
  12. Does that sound familiar? If you know what I'm talking about, I'd appreciate it if you could take me there on a sleigh seal. Exploration expenses were paid in advance, so I'd obviously reward you if you helped me! — Pokki (Tears of the Kingdom)
  13. No, no, that's OK. It's a minor location that most Gerudo don't know about, so it'd be silly to expect a Hylian to be able to take me. — Pokki (Tears of the Kingdom)
  14. Sarq! In that case, I'll wait for you over at the east gate. Come find me once you've got a sleigh seal ready to go! — Pokki (Tears of the Kingdom)
