Describe the solution you'd like

I'd like a way to update sensor states via a HomeAssistant action, preferably via the standard homeassistant.update_entity action.

Based on the default update_interval I suspect most people will not see a need for this, however I usually configure my update_interval to something like 300s to reduce churn in my HA database. Because of this, in some situations it would be useful to be able to update a sensor state on demand.
