Hi there, following #6049. On the instance I manage with a few thousand users and sometimes "massive" announcements, it is hard to find a balance between active users that need to close announcement as soon as they switch/reload board and wait for users that do not connect that often.

I'd find useful that users can definitively dismiss announcements, as they are used to on e.g. Gitlab.

What do you think?

If you agree, I am willing to help, but I don't want to write bad code and I am not familiar with the codebase, so it would be really useful to point me in the right direction.
