The "for fans" label may give a wrong impression of this series' quality, although I myself am adding to the number because, seriously if you haven't watch the original LL you should really watch that first.
Well, we get a noticeable drop for character designs - which is usually the case for spinoffs / 2nd-gens. But overall better songs and definitely improved visual quality, comparable story and more experienced directing. If you enjoyed the original LL, don't hesitate to continue with this.
