It's no secret that this anime recieved a somewhat hostile reaction when it was first aired. And most of the criticism is true: the pace is awkward, the supporting characters are seldom featured and the protagonists seem forced and uninspired, despite being voiced by talented seiyuus. However, the arcs themselves are realistic and the stories told were still worthy of being told, and as mentioned in other reviews, it was unraveled in a very sweet, innocent way, which is something I liked. Another thing I liked was the animation. Not the most polished, but it somehow had a sweet and peaceful quality to it. The conclusion was the typical happy romance ending, shallow but not horrible. Overall, this anime lacks identity and remarkable qualities, but is still heartwarming, which, in my opinion, is what romance is all about.
All in all, it's true that this one was mediocre, but that doesn't mean it's not worthy of a watch. Recommended for casual romance/slice of life fans.
