Yeah, so, I've read a fair bit of the manga. It's... cute... as a comedy, but the premise and plot are lacking. Diligent student with ugly mug would rather be studying, but he's roped into being the supporter of the Valkyries, who need "romantic encounters" ("ecchi encounters") to level up their powers and defend the world. Naturally, the Valkyries' personalities line up to common templates, and although I've waded through at least two volumes of manga, I can't recall much 'noteworthy' actual plot happening. As long as the adaptation does its job, this show should serve well enough as a basic ecchicom for fans, contributing to a long line of other similar sorts of shows.
Yep. B-Tier ecchi haremcom, complete with slice of life elements and occasional plot-like elements. Animation quality is a bit sketchy at times, and the characters are drawn just a wee bit amateurishly, but the first ep shows the series aiming for a solid median line, utterly average for the show type. Me? I'll be in for the season just for the entertainment value. For everyone else... Expect no surprises, but if ecchi haremcoms are your thing, this should at least tide you over for another season.
It tries so hard to be like Love Hina but it's horribly written and the premise is infuriatingly degrading to the female characters.
An AniDB staff member gave it a 10?!? Shit taste confirmed.
So, is the ecchi in this as heavy and strong as in the manga? Not talking about the amount, but about how far they take things. The manga imo is borderline hentai sometimes, so I'm curious how the anime compares in that regard.
I won't say that this particular series is superb, but I always had a thing for "valkyries" in anime. This will be something that I'll look back in the future, just like other titles like UFO Princess Valkyrie and others.
WOW 11 whole comments for an ecchi Anime. That alone says just about everything I need to know about this show.
But since im still catching up on my back log of shows. I gave the first episode a view..... uh.... So how does what I saw qualify as ecchi. It's more like a blue balls Anime.
This show seems more low talent than low budget. Like the animators didn't have the experience or they didn't have the imagination to draw something better. From the beginning the show gave off a strange vibe.
The only thing i can say is, Iv'e never lost interest in an ecchi Anime until today.
