The process was easy to follow, and I had an excellent experience. I received a free CV review with improvement suggestions, and after signing up, Katie ensured everything was working smoothly and I could access the site.

My request was then passed to Diana, who called me to discuss my goals. She was fantastic, offering valuable insights and asking the right questions to understand my background and strengths. Thanks to her expertise, my CV is now far more professional, polished, and aligned with my career goals.

My experience with CV People Australia was extremely disappointing and did not reflect the service described on their website.

I paid almost $900 for a professionally written, bespoke and ATS-ready CV. Their process states that resumes are written from scratch, without templates, AI or recycled client content, and also promotes clear turnaround times, confidentiality and ongoing support.

Unfortunately, my experience was very different.

Communication was poor and deadlines were missed. The CV I received appeared heavily templated and AI-generated, despite their stated position on both. When I raised concerns, they acknowledged that a template had been used.

The CV was also sold as ATS-ready, however the layout, formatting and use of text boxes created compatibility concerns with applicant tracking systems.

Most seriously, the first draft contained another client’s career information, including references to mining experience in the Middle East and Africa. This raised a significant confidentiality concern given their stated commitment to privacy and not recycling client content.

I gave them multiple opportunities to resolve the issues and went through three rounds of revisions with detailed feedback, but remained unhappy with the quality and accuracy of the final product.

After repeated attempts to resolve the matter, I requested a full refund and received no satisfactory response. I have now had to escalate the matter through my bank.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend CV People Australia.

After a particularly bad experience with another CV/LinkedIn writing company, I was sceptical of CV People and made sure I did my research prior to contacting them.

From the initial conversation with James, I knew CV People were the team I wanted on my side for my next career move.

The process was smooth from the outset; they didn't apply any sales pressure on me. In fact, they discouraged me from buying a more expensive package as it wouldn't have benefited me for this next move.

When I explained the issues I had previously, they didn’t bad-mouth the last organisation; they just explained how they would do things differently, and I’m pleased to report they did exactly that.

I was assigned Arran and, whilst they offered a fully remote service for busy execs, I am old school and believe in good old-fashioned talking, so opted for a telephone consultation. It was a great conversation where Arran asked all the right questions and really drilled into exactly what I wanted, and exactly where I was targeting my next move.

The online portal is easy to use, and I like the chat feature where you can communicate with your allocated consultant.

Arran did a sterling job on my CV/LinkedIn profile and has restored my confidence in this type of service, although I think I will only be coming back to CV People in the future. He was attentive, listened to my feedback, made any amendments I wanted, but equally pushed back on suggestions he believed would not be of benefit, coming up with alternatives. I felt that it was very much a partnership, rather than a service where you pay your money, never actually speak to a human, and get given a product that AI has generated with no real say in the matter.

Sterling job, Arran and CV People. Don't change anything.
