Plan my trip

Not sure how much you need? Describe the trip and we choose.

Thailand is outside the EU roaming zone, and a few weeks of maps, ride-hailing and photos can cost a lot on a UK or EU plan. A travel eSIM avoids that: you install a data plan before you leave, and it connects to a Thai network when you land.

Our Thailand plans run on the country's own mobile networks, listed below. Your phone picks the strongest one, with 5G in the cities where it has been built and 4G elsewhere. That covers booking a ride from the airport, finding a street-food stall in Bangkok, ferry times on the islands and messages from Chiang Mai.

Almost every Thailand plan starts counting on your first connection in Thailand, not at purchase, so you can buy weeks ahead. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts, and the plan is prepaid: when the data or the days run out, it simply stops.

Why Aynet

We list every plan we sell for Thailand with its real price, cheapest first, and the networks it uses. No per-GB maths, no daily fees, no SIM kiosk queue at the airport.

If you are not sure which size fits, describe the trip in one sentence and we recommend one plan. Most Thailand plans can be topped up from My eSIMs without a new QR code. If you never install it, you get your money back.

Payment is a one-off card payment through Stripe, and the QR code waits in My eSIMs as well as your inbox. Questions go to support@aynet.ai.

The networks

Our plans for Thailand run on these local networks. Your phone picks the strongest signal.

  • TrueMove H5G where built
  • DTAC5G where built
  • AIS5G where built

Good to know

Turn on data roaming
Once you land, switch data roaming on for the Aynet line. It costs nothing extra: the plan is the price. Keep roaming off on your home SIM so it does not charge you.
When the plan starts
Most Thailand plans start on your first connection in Thailand. A few start on installation, and each says so before you buy. An unstarted plan shows its install-by date in My eSIMs.
Top-ups
Most Thailand plans can be topped up from My eSIMs while they run. A few cannot, and those say so before you buy. If you expect to need more, pick a bigger plan or one with top-up.
More than one country?
Thailand is also part of our Asia and global plans. For Thailand alone, a Thailand plan is usually the better value; for a route through several countries, describe it and we compare.

Questions travellers ask

Does my EU or UK roaming work in Thailand?

Not for free. Thailand is outside the EU roaming zone, so most home plans charge a daily or per-MB fee there. A Thailand eSIM gives you local data at a fixed price instead.

Which network will I be on in Thailand?

One of the Thai networks listed on this page. Your phone picks the one with the best signal where you are and can switch as you move.

Does it work on the islands?

Yes. Phuket, Koh Samui and the other popular islands are covered. On small islands and at sea the signal can be weaker, as it is for every network.

How much data do I need for two weeks in Thailand?

For maps, ride-hailing, messages and social media, 5 to 10 GB covers most two-week trips. If you post a lot of video, take 20 GB or more. Or describe your trip and we recommend one plan.

Do I still need a Thai SIM from the airport?

No. The eSIM is installed before you fly and connects when you land, so you skip the kiosk queue and keep your own SIM in the phone.

Can I keep my own number?

Yes. The eSIM carries data only. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls, texts and bank verification codes.

What if I run out of data?

On most Thailand plans, top up the same eSIM from My eSIMs while the plan is running. The few plans without top-up say so before you buy.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, if the eSIM has never been installed. Once it is installed on a phone it cannot be refunded, because the profile is tied to that device.
