  1. Filth Deluxe (remastered 2015)
    by SWANS
    Stay Here Stay Here
Sometimes, I find it hard to believe this album came out in 1983. The drums, basses, and guitar is primitive and overwhelming. Michael Gira cuts through all the noise with his visceral shouting and his lyrics about power dynamics laid out in the bluntest, most cynical way possible. Swans have changed a lot since '83, but this is still one of their best releases, its influence felt all across noise rock and industrial rock to this day. The deluxe tracks are nice, too.

    by Godflesh
    Like Rats Like Rats
Streetcleaner was one of the first albums to fuse industrial music with metal. While the electronics are limited to drum machines, it nevertheless maintains the mechanical nature of industrial. The guitar riffs focus on texture, almost a predecessor to post-rock. The influence from Swans (specifically Cop and Young God) are all over this, but it distinct in its own right. Amazing and bleak overall.

    Doppler Doppler
This is the first A&P album using Tristan Shone's custom machines, giving it a brutal and relentless sound. It's like a more electronic Godflesh.
  7. End Position
    by Street Sects
    Our Lesions Our Lesions
This album is extremely bleak, whether through the harsh blasts of industrial synths, fast 808s, old-timey movie samples, or screamed lyrics about depression, addiction, and death. All 10 songs are consistent and great. I'm not always in the right headspace for End Position, but it executes its nihilism perfectly.
  8. Pirouette

    Cinderella Cinderella
Elegant mix of industrial rock and dance-punk. The sharp, glass-like guitars, the vulnerable lyrics, and Cole Haden's lovely singing together make it fun but emotional.
  9. Justice
    by Justice
Waters of Nazareth Waters of Nazareth
Awesome electro house with hard-hitting saw bass and kicks, but also some melodic synths to keep things fresh. One of the best "bloghouse" albums out there.
