This is a nearly perfect doom death album that could go as high as 3 or 4 on my top 30 metal AOTY list. I ALWAYS appreciate re-listening even if lists are subjective AF—recency bias is a big problem with all these sick late year releases. Structure is so incredibly dark, heavy, and majestic. In addition to Heritage’s captivating, bleak atmospherics, the guitar playing is phenomenal, especially the lead harmonies and thoughtful soloing. I hope this drops on vinyl—definitely wax worthy!
