Allyne Ross
Allyne Ross is a federal judge serving on senior status for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She joined the court in 1994 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton. Prior to joining the court, Ross was a magistrate judge for the district. She assumed senior status on April 5, 2011.[1]
Education
Ross graduated from Wellesley with her bachelor's degree in 1967 and later graduated from Harvard Law with her J.D. Degree in 1970.[1]

- 1976-1983: Assistant U.S. attorney, U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York

Judicial career
Eastern District of New York
Ross was nominated by President Bill Clinton on July 22, 1994, to a seat vacated by Leo Glasser. Ross was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on September 28, 1994, and received commission on September 29, 1994.[2] She assumed senior status on April 5, 2011.[1] She was succeeded to this post by Judge Margo Brodie.
Eastern District of New York, magistrate
Ross began her judicial career as a Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Ross was first appointed in 1986 to a full eight-year term and served until 1994, when she was nominated to an Article III judgeship.[1]
