Ernest Tolin
Ernest Allen Tolin (1904-1961) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
Tolin received a recess appointment from President Harry Truman on October 30, 1951, to a seat vacated by Paul John McCormick; nominated on March 3, 1952; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 10, 1952, and received his commission on June 11th. He served the Southern District of California until his death on June 11, 1961. Tolin was succeeded in this position by Elisha Crary.
