I am a Husband and father to two wonderful daughters. I have lived in Virginia since I was 12 years old, growing up in Annandale. After graduating from Annandale High School, I enlisted in the US Navy. I served for four years with many exciting assignments.

After the Navy I worked as a defense contractor. Working on projects from communication system design to construction. I opened my own company to support the privatization of federal government agencies. After 9/11 I moved onto business consulting and business turnaround. Helping companies grow and expand. I then built an alternative energy business. Manufacturing alternative fuels and implementing alternative energy solutions.

After thinking about retirement, I felt I needed to do my best to continue to serve. I was dissatisfied with how our government is working for the people. As well as the continues regulations placed on us and our businesses.

It's time to streamline our systems. Make the people the most important priority and bring common sense and accountability back.
  • We need to create value back to life and family. We need to reduce abortion as a need by providing options and support to families and women and rebuild our adoption system.
  • We need to attract those who chose to serve the publics needs. Such as teachers, police officers, firefighter, nurses, doctors and the military. I am proposing the elimination on state income tax on those professions that make less then $75,000 a year.
  • We have the most diverse skill population on the east coast. Virginia is the center and hub of the east coast. We have a vast infrastructure of ports , airports, highways and railroads. We have natural resources. Some of the best colleges and universities in the world. We need to businesses in all fields, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, defense, technology, energy and so on. Into Virginia and build not just jobs but careers that people and build families and establish roots in the Commonwealth.
Stopping gridlock and partisan politics in the State house.
The Lieutenant Governor has one Constitutional job. To serve as the Presidential of the Senate and vote when there is a tie.

However, the unwritten duties are to utilize to powers of the offices in influence policy and help both parties to work together. While staying connected to the people and their needs.
That they understand the position is not about themselves but bigger. It is about every person they represent. Listening and compromise is key.
I connect with people. No matter their background. I listen and understand. I am able to create passion in efforts and motivate those around. I can create a vision and idea and work with others to bring them to an agreed product. Most of all I will always fight for those who can't fight for themselves.
To insure the interest and the well-being of the people always come first. Pushing and fighting for solutions that support everyone's interest and maintain pathways to improve the lives of all in Virginia.
At 7 years old, I mowed lawns to the neighborhood. I did that for 4 years.
Tom Sawyer, Every young boy can cinnect with it in one way or other.
I am Dyslexic and have struggled with it most of my life. I was diagnosed in the 11th grade and had a great teacher who helped me. As much of a struggle it was, I believe it added to my ability to be more creative and problem solve is unique ways.
Accountability. The public must trust that as Lieutenant Governor, you always have their best interests in hand. As well as maintaining their confidence in you.
That the Lieutenant Governor also sits on multiple state boards and commissions. Including Economic Development, Military Advisory Council, Tourism Authority, The Center for Rural Virginia, Secure and Resilient Commonwealth Panel, to list a few.
I believe one should have the knowledge of how the political system works. However, having someone with that knowledge as well as experience in business and an deep understanding of the State and the different needs of its residents is more important.
The ability to problem solve. Being able to think outside of the box to generate new ideas that can create discussions and lead to real solutions is key. With the experience of management as well had fiscal management is important.
It's the people's money. Transparency and accountability must always be on the forefront.
It's not only good but important that the people can voice their views and have control of their lives.
