Mike Jestes

Mike Jestes was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 17 of the Oklahoma State Senate. He is the executive director of Oklahoma Family Policy Council, which is affiliated with Focus on the Family. He was also a spokesman for the Oklahoma Pro Life Media coalition. He also works with at-risk youth. Previously, he has worked as an insurance agent.[1]

Issues

Jestes said that his campaign platform included protecting the family values and life, promoting smaller government, less spending, lower taxes, reform, education and Second Amendment rights.[2]

Jestes ran in the 2012 election for Oklahoma Senate District 17. Jestes was defeated by Ed Moore in the Republican primary on June 26.[3][4][5][6]
