Susan F. Maven was a judge on the Appellate Division of the Superior Court in New Jersey.[1][2]

Education

Maven earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Temple University.[1]

Career

Maven was appointed to the New Jersey Superior Court by Governor Donald DiFrancesco and sworn-in on December 18, 2001. She served as a judge in the family division of Atlantic and Cape May Counties Vicinage until 2008, and then in the criminal division, before eventually returning to the family division. She was temporarily assigned to the Appellate Division in the first quarter of 2012 and was appointed to the court by Chief Justice Stuart Rabner in July of 2012.[1][3][4]

Prior to becoming a judge, Maven worked as an associate at Horn, Kaplan, Goldberg, Gorny and Daniels as a development coordinator for the Atlantic County Transportation Authority, as counsel for the Atlantic County Improvement Authority, and as a commissioner for the New Jersey Casino Control Commission.[1][5]
