Rasheed N.C. Wyatt
Rasheed Wyatt (Democratic Party) (also known as N. C.) is a member of the Buffalo Common Council in New York, representing University District. He assumed office in 2014. His current term ends on December 31, 2027.
Wyatt (Democratic Party) ran for election for Mayor of Buffalo in New York. He lost in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2025.
Biography
Wyatt earned an A.A.S. in accounting from the Kensington Business Institute in 1986 and a B.S. in business resource development from Medaille College in 1989.[1] His professional experience includes the following:
- 2014-Present: Council member, Buffalo Common Council
- 2013-2014: Chief of staff, City of Buffalo
- 2009-2011: President, Newport News Neighborhood Federal Credit Union
- 2008-2011: President, Newport News NAACP
- 2006-2008: Deputy commissioner of business compliance audit, City of Newport News Commissioner of the Revenue
- 2000-2004: Executive director and chairman of the board, Stepping Stone Academy Charter School
- 1999-2001: Chief financial officer, Community Health Center of Buffalo
- 1986-1999: Accounting officer, HSBC Bank[1]
