This abandoned Wonder Bread and Hostess Cake factory is owned by Douglas Development Corp. The latest plan is to turn this property into an apartment building. Previous plans for office space and then a plan for a hotel have been unsuccessful due to tight financing options for these types of developments, but financing has been relatively easier to secure for well-positioned residential projects.
