Recipe for puffy tacos. Puffy tacos originated in San Antonio, TX at Ray's Drive Inn. This recipe was inspired by a trip to Ray's Drive Inn where I had their puffy tacos. Puffy tacos are made by taking a raw tortilla made from masa and frying it in oil where it will then puff up and can be formed into a taco shell. Recipe uses ground meat filling and topping but puffy tacos can be filled however.
