Gee, they're getting even more obscure.

This one apparently wasn't even available in the U.S.

Never seen this set and I kinda like it.

By in New Zealand,

Incredible play value and potential here...even without a figure and will outlast 76112 easily.

By in France,

wow that's a surprising radio-controlled set, not used to non-technic. though I think the first was system, a yellow car in 1998 or 1999 I guess

I've never seen this set in action. Was it any fast, I wonder?

^ Well, there's one way to find out. They're a bit pricey, but there's a few MIB copies on Bricklink.

By in Spain,

before clicking on the picture, I thought "wow, what a nice technic truck with an incredibly low number of parts"

By in United Kingdom,

The green rally car body looks awesome in that picture, but ridiculous when you actually build it onto the car chassis 'brick'. The yellow race car in 8183 looks a bit better. The way the steering wheel is fitted to the side of the IR transmitter to operate one of the levers is a bit of genius though.

The speed is OK but nothing amazing, since it's all on/off with no proportional control. About average for a toy car, with an equally average turning circle. It's fairly low power though (3x AA batteries, I seem to remember), so it doesn't take too kindly to building a lot of weight on top of it.

By in Netherlands,

At first I thought this was an announcement for a new set. I've never seen this one before, it looks nice even by today's standards and a fun set to play with.

I've never seen this set, but I have one of those RC bricks. It was so much fun as a kid.

If LEGO could give me a six wide Speed Champions size LEGO R/C car, at a reasonable price, I'd start forking over the money!

@denn
You mean it doesn't?

I wondered why my car wouldn't run...

By in United States,

I have 8183 and was super bummed when this one never made it to the US.
