Making a LEGO set is not a one-man show. Many people from different departments (graphic design, element design, building instructions development, global master data, lead teams, packaging design, manufacturing etc.) need to collaborate to bring even the smallest set to store shelves. My part is only the design of the model. In other words: I figure out how the bricks come together.Sets designed by Wes Talbott

Most of the time I like to finish a model from beginning to end, but I don’t get to finish everything I start. Here are some models that I did sketches for that retained most of the look and feel in the final version.Sets designed by Niels Bundesen
My name is Niels Bundesen, I am from Denmark, and have been a LEGO Model Designer since May 2022. However, I started as an model design intern in 2017, wrote my M.Sc. thesis in Design and Innovation at the LEGO Group in 2019 and worked for 3 years as a Mechanical Engineer, developing new LEGO elements (bricks). Some honorable mentions of elements I've either developed or worked on are element numbers: 67696, 1927, 80440, 80436, 80431 and 69754.Sets designed by Joe Kyde

Following the good example of Mr. Mark Stafford, here is a list of my sets, or sets that were influenced by me. Please read the descriptions for further info.
As a LEGO designer you will get a copy of every set you designed, if project leaders feel that you provided enough ideas, sketches and so on, you will get one too. Kind of a portfolio in 3D
I owe all these sets below although I can't remember buying a LEGO box for myself in the past 6 years or so, so I guess I contributed enough to make them happen.
There is no guarantee for how "complete" this list might be. I built so many sketches and models thru the past years that I can't remember whatsoever, so this is literally based on the boxes I have at home.Sets designed by Antica Bracanov
Hello!
My name is Antica and I am a Model Designer. I come from Croatia and before joining LEGO in 2016 I was a member of the AFOL community for about 7 years (since 2009, I believe). I am currently working on models for LEGO Icons theme. Before that I worked on LEGO Ideas and before that I spent 5 years on LEGO Friends.
Design process involves collaboration of numerous different departments and people, we have model design, graphics, elements, marketing, packaging, building instructions, masterdata specialists and many more. Within the design team most models are a work of more than just one person and are a product of team effort. Many models change hands several times, especially during concept stage. Later in the process one designer is appointed to take the model through the final stages and give it its final look.
This list contains models that I've taken through all the way, some of them from the first sketch. I will do my best to mention everyone who I collaborated with while working on these sets.
Sets are sorted from newest to oldest and I'll try to include trivia for each of them. Enjoy!

This list keeps track of the sets that I have either designed or been working on together with other amazing designers. Hope you enjoy!Sets designed by Jme Wheeler
This is a list of sets I have designed since starting at LEGO. In an attempt to keep things simple, I'm going to attempt only to list sets I was directly responsible for. As designers, we work on a lot of different products in varying capacities. It is very common for a designer to work on a sketch model during the concept phase, and then hand that off to another designer to finish. I don't plan to list models I sketched on. If the designer responsible for finishing the set would like to mention me in their list that's great, but they are the ones who have to do all of the hard work to take it through the development process.
It's also important for people to know that the development process is a collaborative one, and there are many, many people involved in bringing every set to market. While the job of designers is important, there are plenty of valuable contributions that come from all sections of the company.
The Building Instructions team in particular does a lot to make sure that everyone who buys a LEGO set gets a great building experience. Toward the end of the design process, designers meet with Building Instructions to show them how the model is built, and to discuss how to communicate that through the set instructions. I always try to go in with a good way to explain how to build something, but sometimes I just don't have a satisfying solution. That's where the Building Instructions team comes in and uses their extensive knowhow to break things down into a clear and logical series of steps to help consumers get the most out of their sets.
All that said, being a set designer is a wonderful opportunity, and I hope I have spent my time making things that make people happy. ^_^Sets designed by Corvin Stichert
Hey everyone, I'm Corvin, designer on LEGO City since 2015. While these are sets that I directly worked on, please remember that in the end they all represent a team effort. I try to include the names of the other designers I collaborated with directly for each of these, but there are so many more people that make each of these products possible, so keep that in mind.Sets designed by Leonard Bahro

This is a list of the lasted sets that came out that I have designed or co-designed.Sets designed by Bjarke Lykke Madsen
Hello. My name is Bjarke Lykke Madsen and I have Designed models for The LEGO Group for more than 27 years.
I have a background as a Mechanical Engineer. After my studies, I resumed my childhood interest in building with LEGO Bricks as my hobby. Later, I applied for the job as LEGO Designer and began 1. August 1997.
Over the years I have worked on more than 30 different LEGO themes and designed (or co-designed) more than 140 LEGO sets.
It has been my pleasure to work together with so many wonderful and multi-talented creative people within model-design, graphic-design and sculpture-design. All of them are great colleagues, and I am proud to call many of them my very best friends.
It´s important to emphasize, that making a new LEGO set and bringing it to the marked, is a very complex process that involves the skills, knowledge, experience and enthusiasm from hundreds of LEGO employees in many different departments: Design, Marketing, Building Instruction, Production, Packaging, Distribution and more. The goal is to make each LEGO set the best possible building- and play experience for our customers, and it only becomes possible, because everyone is working together to achieve this.
For this reason, and because I am a very strong believer in fairness, I have credited the colleagues, that I have worked together with on the various sets.
When new LEGO sets (that I have designed) have been released, I will continue to update this list with information which I hope will be interesting to kids, parents, newcomers and longtime fans.
Enjoy & kind greetings - Bjarke :)Sets Designed by Milan Madge

On some sets I've mentioned the set designers and graphic designers that turned my concept into an awesome toy. A brief list of the sets I've worked on during my internship at TLG as a model designer in 2022. I've had a great helping hand from everyone in the CITY team and from all the friends I made during my time in Billund.Sets designed by Maria Kalaoglou
Hello I m Mind the Brick AKA Maria Kalaoglou. As a dedicated fan designer, I have had the distinct pleasure of participating in various prestigious LEGO competitions, where my creations have garnered both recognition and accolades. One of my achievements is the IDEASPAB6-1: Garden Dreams, which was invited to compete in the LEGO Ideas Test Lab. Amidst a multitude of impressive entries, it shone brightly and was honored as one of the five winning designs. It is now available for purchase on the LEGO.com platform.
Moreover, my 910033-1: Old Train Engine Shed was entered into the Bricklink Designer Program Series 1. This design also enjoyed a resounding success, securing its spot as one of the five projects that were successfully crowdfunded. These accomplishments have been incredibly rewarding and have fueled my passion for creating and sharing unique LEGO designs.Sets designed by Joel Baker

----------------------
Most of the sets listed are sets that I built sketch models for, many of them were completed by another designer, so why are they on my list? I've often work in the role of "Idea Guy" or Concept Designer where I bridged the gap between wild ideas and realistic execution.
-----------------------------------------------
Back in 2011, while working as a Master Model Builder for the LEGOLAND Parks, I pitched a LEGO Batman expansion area. It never worked out for a variety of licensing/timing/business reasons, but during my research, I rediscovered my love of Batman The Animated Series and the sprawling architecture of the neo futuristic 'Dark Deco' distopian city of Gotham. Inspiration lead me to build my own Gotham City at home, but progress paused when I moved to Denmark. The idea for Gotham as a set was in the back of my head for over a decade! My old Flickr page has an image of the Gotham City I was building at home, along with the caption "Gotham WIP. Coming soon." Admittedly, 12+ years stretches the definition of "soon" but we got there eventually.
-Besides Batman and Gray Ghost, there are 30 characters hidden throughout the set, 3 of which are represented using only bricks. Major kudos to anyone who can identify all 30!
-The instructions include an episode to pair with each of the 44 number bags. The episode names in the instructions correlate with the reference material for the part of the model built in that numbered bag- In other words, you can see what you're building on screen while you build it! So if you want to watch again (of course right?!) you can check out how close I kept the design to the source material.
-Despite the clouds all angling from top left to bottom right, the number of Left elements and Right elements are balanced evenly.

This means I develop new opportunities for the LEGO group, such as new brands to partner with or new ways to play with our existing lines. Alongside our awesome team of talented designers I have created and developed LEGO Animal Crossing, LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog and led concept development for LEGO Super Mario sub-themes such as Donkey Kong and Mariokart. Welcome to my set list!
I'm Bas Brederode, a senior designer at the LEGO company. In my 16 years at the LEGO company I've worked in many different departments as Star Wars, Batman, Games, Friends, DC Super Hero Girls and a couple of themes that didn't make it to production. In the Dutch/Belgian edition of LEGO Masters I fulfill the role of Jury, aka the Brickmaster.
For all of these sets I was responsible for finishing the final product. But to be honest, every LEGO set is a joint effort by the LEGO Design team that is responsible for the product line. On some sets I've mentioned other designers that have made a significant contribution to the product. Without them, the set wouldn't have been what it is today!

I want to give my dad the recognition he deserves, as a LEGO designer in the 80s on the TOWN theme and in the early 90s as the creator/co-creator of the 9V train theme.
He’s also the person behind some of the most used speciality bricks in the last 30 years:
The 1x2 flat tile “the grille” (part 2412a/b)
The 1x2 profile brick (part 2877)
The 2x2 corner plate (part 2420)
The 2x2 corner brick (part 2357)
On part 2412, the grille - he specifically mentions that Godtfred Kirk Christiansen was against the design, seeing as there were no studs on top, but it was approved eventually, mainly due to Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen supporting the design.
After this, he worked on many of the classic Miniland dioramas in LEGOLAND Billund and LEGOLAND Windsor, before departing LEGO and LEGOLAND altogether in the late 90s.Sets designed by Tiago Catarino
