Bricklist notes: Might be just as hard designing a LEGO Ship in a Bottle, as it must be making one in real life. So far it has been the most challenging and fun set that I've worked on. We were able to bring back the Paradisa domes in trans clear which I hope fans will be happy about, and also tried to use as much teal as I could on the insides of the builds. The prints were done by graphic designer Mark T.

Bricklist notes: The anniversary sets, model wise, were a joint exercise between a team of 6 to 7 designers making literally hundreds of models. I was the lead designer for this particular box, taking the individual models trough the meetings making sure they were playable, stable and so on. The drum set, lake monster and rocket/shuttle were my designs.

I have made a space related set so I can now check that out of my LEGO goals bucket list :)

Bricklist notes: Look at all the fun you can have! The arcade machine was supposed to be included in the main model but we couldn't fit it in. I liked it so much and it needed to be in the set somehow so we ended up doing the games corner as an alternative model.

This one was an achievement for Creator 3in1 because we managed to get printed elements of our own! Two new ones in this particular set, and for some reason, I really identify myself with one of them... If you look at the other one you will see that is actually inspired on 31074 Rocket Rally Car.

But there's a lot more going on with the set. Can you find all the Easter eggs?

Bricklist notes: Made a proper shuttle this time around!

Even though realistically speaking, you would never see a truck carrying a space shuttle on it's back, it works in the minds of kids, AND I got to do two iconic vehicles in one three in one set. See what I did there?

Creator 3in1 box art needs to be payed close attention, there is subtle cross promotion in this particular one, as well as some super fun easter-eggs. Packaging team is doing top notch work! Check all the others!

B and C models were super cool to develop as well, usually one of my favorite parts of working with Creator 3in1, way less scary to work with a contained volume of elements after I'm quite happy with the main models. The off-road vehicle with the trailer in the back as to be my favorite alternative model I've done so far.

Main model was based on concept work done by Mike Psiaki and Morten Rauff.

Bricklist notes: Another type of vehicle we've seen countless times in the Creator 3in1 range but hopefully, differentiated enough!

Has some interesting parts in interesting colors, again to appeal to the AFOL's out there.

I always had fun designing alternative models, and this model was no exception.

The jet for the B model was hard to pull off but in the end turned out quite ok for an alternative model I think.

This set, together with the 31101 Monster Truck were the last sets I designed as a model designer for LEGO in Creator 3in1.

Not my last set though :)

Bricklist notes: We've seen loads of Monster Trucks in the LEGO range in the past couple of years for a reason, kids really like them!

As a designer I made sure to use interesting colors in the set thinking of the AFOLS.
So there you have it! A decent amount of teal elements!

The model itself as a working suspension, initial concept idea from Jeremy L.

I like the clean look of the Mustang like car I made in the B model.

Bricklist notes: The biggest set in piece count I have designed while working for LEGO, just a few elements over the 10267 Gingerbread House!

As simple as it looks a lot of consideration goes into picking what elements go into the box, and also, a lot more attention and restrictions when building the models because of the age mark.

Tried to add the coolest elements I could in the coolest colors that were available at the time to in a way still appeal to AFOL's while also being an awesome play experience for kids all over the world.

Amazing price per piece ratio, you really can't go wrong with this one!

This was the last set I have designed... It was a good run :')

Bricklist notes: One of the last sets I've worked on as a LEGO model designer. And an Expert one! Another I can cross from my bucket list of LEGO things to do.

Initial concept was done by Florian M, graphic design by Kjeld the graphic designer, not the owner of the company :P

Fans will be happy to know that Jamie Berard still builds every now and then, and the snowblower was suggested by him! I liked the version he built so much that I kept it unchanged until the end.

For me, the most challenging aspects of the set to design were the chimney and the roofs. To get them right, without breaking, and as flawless (no gaps) as I could possibly have done, with the time I had in my hands.

My favorite things about the set have to be the entrance mat (Home Sweet Home), I find it super funny but it seems like I'm the only one, the rocking horse, and the hidden portuguese flag in the form of towels in the bathroom upstairs :)
