^"Promotional release with Maersk Line, Denmark. Later versions of this set have "Maersk Sealand" stickers."

Hopefully he is making good time delivering the packages, since Christmas is only a few days away.

“Who’s Lorry?”
- all of us in the US who call it a truck.

Honestly? pretty good looking set for its time.

By in Australia,

I love this style of truck, but this is yet another one that never made it to Australia.

Maersk trucks were always designed a little different than the regular sets, in a good way.

These were available in New Zealand in 1999 (I think or later?) with the countrywide Lego Truck (not "lorry" here either) tour. The tour truck was yellow but, as well as 2148, these Maersk sets were for sale in it, for some reason... My brother bought about half a dozen!

I like the packaging artwork.

Maersk sets are my favorites, period. Love that colour, no other tone of blue even comes close.

I'm curious why there's a broom attached underneath the lorry. Is that meant to represent some part of the actual vehicle, or was it just intended as a handy place to store the minifigure's accessory while he's driving?

By in Russian Federation,

When I was a little kid, I had a Chinese knockoff of this truck. That was before I learned to separate that crap from real LEGO and threw it all away, of course.

I'd love to see a modern remake of this. Maybe even at 8-wide scale (as is proper City scale for large trucks only lol) complete w/sleeper cab.
