By in United States,

I had this as a kid. One of my first bigger LEGO. Very cool.

By in Australia,

I remember this as being, aside from the 2014 one, possibly the best Lego police station ever.

By in United States,

Have this as well, some may think the last good Police station aside from the forest police one from 2012.

Two in a row I own.

By in Australia,

That's less of a police station and more of a fortress.

By in United Kingdom,

Not bad at all for a more modern era. Really seems to have everything you need with a pretty impressive building.

By in United States,

This was both a cool, fun, well-done design and the beginning of LEGO’s modern style of police stations that look more like future spy agencies...

By in United States,

I think this is the best police headquarters to date

I wish Lego still made police stations and fire stations like this. Semi-realistic with all the necessary parts of the structure rather then that stupid disgrace they call a police station this year.

I honestly feel like at this rate Lego should just get a 6x12 plate use some 1x5x6 plates, a door and window and a police sign on the roof and call it a cop shop. Since thats the level of detail we get nowadays and the vehicles suck as well.

This is far superior to most stations released within the last 10 years. I have the 2014 one, removed the gaol section and build more 'office' space instead. I think the 2011 one wasnt too bad either.

By in New Zealand,

Police Station design is pretty random.

Wasn’t there a Brickset article lego police stations a while back?...or maybe it was a different building type..hospitals.

By in Turkey,

I think this set has too much empty space trying to look big. Vehicles are not my favorite either, I've certainly seen better designs. But overall you can really build yourself an excellent police HQ by modifiyng this set a bit.

Ah, the memories... I remember begging my parents to buy me this for my sixth birthday. I was so excited for it that I could barely sleep. Once I got it, it took a whole day to build (parties and all), but it stayed the centrepiece of my collection for many years.

I’m actually looking at it right now as I write this. It’s probably been rebuilt two or three times, but I think it would be in the top 10 sets I own.

I’d also say that this is the best police station Lego has done alongside the 2011 and prison island ones.

By in Latvia,

I remember seeing this in a catalogue, on of the greatest Police Stations ever in City.

By in Czechia,

Best Police station in modern City ever. Very complex, standing on baseplates. Two garages. Two cars and bike as a bonus. Only one thing you need in addition is a Helicopter 7741.

Got this as a gift together with 30133 Jack Sparrow polybag. Poor Jack went immediately to prison. Later on he pulled out once again a marvelous escape throughout the whole City.

By in Belgium,

6398 is still the best police station as far as i'm concerned. This looks good at first appearance, but when you take a closer look, there isn't all that much...the vehicles look horrible...

Hm, I must say I had to check how 2019/2020 Lego police station looked and that was its first problem: it was very unappealing, basic and plain so I actually kept forgetting how it looked while writing this! There’s some, not some subtile distinction with red and blue, good and bad, and with mafia stereotypes for badies and 80s Murica cops for goodies. As simple as that.

So I ask: is this the solution for CITY sets today and in the future? Does a CITY set mean a basic, easy build, despite of the possibilities of depicting police station and fire station way more complex and involving? Are we doomed to have these made as simple as possible, leaving even teen demographic unsatisfied with builds and looks, with accent on a obvious, sometimes specialized, play feature? Alright then, could Lego bring back custom big plates so at least the set looked more imposing?

Wow, this looks incredible. Looks like this was three years into my Dark Ages. I seriously missed out.

By in United Kingdom,

Glad this is the police station I ended up with. The 2011 one would have been even better but it's been all sownhill from there. Not a fan of the overly blue, overly sculpted cops of today, the 2005-2012ish aesthetic was much more agreeable (yes , over both grey and blue window phase).

By in Poland,

This is a great police hq. The cars are ugly and juniorized tho'. Many of you have said this is the best one up until now but for me the best one is 60130. I have a soft spot for water related sets but even without the water aspect the 60130 is just so much better building, integrated into rocky island with nice vehicles and everything needed to play police&thieves.

By in Ireland,

Still have this set proudly on display (the only city one at that) as it's the one that got me back into Lego after a few "dark age" years. Such a great set and very well designed.

I think the best City sets was in years 2005-2009.
It's my ranking of City Police HQs (2005+):
1. 7744 (2008) - it was hard choice to choose between this set and 7237. I really like both sets.
2. 7237 (2005)
3. 7498 (2011)
4. 60047 (2014)
5. 60141 (2017)
6. 60246 (2020)

By in Hungary,

This was a nice attempt in the modern era but 6386 is by far the best police station ever in my opinion.

By in Netherlands,

This looks like a fantastic police station

By in United Kingdom,

I found this, complete, in a charity shop last year! I wanted back when it first came out and I needed big parts that would allow me to build castles with scale. Very pleased with the huge white wall pieces!

I think as a playset this is pretty much perfect- it has the looks of a modern police station (if a little airy) while giving lots of access for play and being big and very parts-efficient, which is a boon in my opinion.

By in Portugal,

This set was the most important for my childhood.

By in Italy,

Oh the Police 2008 sets are sooo nostalgic to me.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Seems it is currently the biggest City Police set ever released.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh yeah... remember that time when LEGO City Police Stations used to actually be good?

By in Canada,

One of my first 5 sets purchased after my dark ages--LOVED this set and the clever (at the time) way the walls popped out for escape by prisoners. Lots of detail and lots of interesting features. I've always loved this one and still have it, safe and sound.
