By in United States,

I'm not usually for bashing sets, even junior sets, but this is certainly questionable.

The chrome parts are neat, but that's about it. There are a good number of parts, but it doesn't seem like enough to make anything all too impressive, even with just a singular model.

EDIT: After looking through the instructions, I stand corrected! There's actually some rather neat ideas in there, the problem is that they chose the worst looking models for the cover art!

By in United States,

"3 minifigs"?

Where?

By in Australia,

The problem with the chrome, particularly from the late 90s and early 00s, is that it never lasted.

There are some pretty nice parts in there, though.

Ah yes, I recall this race.

The race to the bottom.

By in Denmark,

Ohhh sneaky Jack Stone jumping into other themes...

No. This is the race of the millennium. It’s just selling itself short.

By in United States,

If this is how much effort was put into the race of the year, I don’t think I want to know what the race of the month was like...

Huh, didn't know there was a female tall-fig.

By in Hungary,

If this is the Race of the Year, then I must had been a bad year.

By in United States,

This set looks like a really neat parts pack to me. It's got some really nice pieces, including some chrome ones.
And unpopular opinion here, but I actually do quite like those Jack Stone figures.

So you get some cool printed parts, a baseplate, lampposts, windows, and even chrome

But at what cost?

By in Brazil,

The first Lego set of my life, still remember trying to build the very first things... I believe the first thing I did was a helicopter.

At the time, it was amazing, enough to start this long road of Lego for me. Lots of parts from it are lost by now (all chrome ones, I miss them), but I'd say some 200 or so parts survived and are located on my old parts box now (the baseplate is broken in two). Two of the three "jackstonefigs" survived.

I'm thankful for 4176.

By in Finland,

Reminds me of the classic brickfilm called "The Ultimate Lego Race" by forrestfire101.

By in Australia,

Some fine parts, but the awful design speaks for itself.

By in Latvia,

I didn't know Creator was Jack Stone for some time

By in Netherlands,

I wonder why the Brickset inventory list only has the parts that are on the "LEGO Customer Services replacement parts page"? It doesn't list the chrome parts. BrickLink does.

By in United Kingdom,

Are we really calling those figures “minifigs”? Shouldn’t they need their own name, being substantially different? Or do even duplo figures get categorised as minifigs and I’m being needlessly compartmental?

By in United States,

The chrome parts and fancy modular street poles seem odd for a Classic like set like this.

By in Turkey,

The build is lacking but I like the parts I'm seeing.

Maybe Woody-Figs?

Godawful Jack stone type figures? Check
Silly Price? Check

Welcome to the bottom of the barrel... Things could only go up from here (Thankfully!)

Did not realize that Huwbot likes to kick fans in the crotch right before a weekend, but this does prove that Huwbot is random without preference to pick a 'gem' like this.
