Didn’t know Johnny Thunder was a race driver.

Ooh, this one would be really featureless without the stickers. And we know what stickers from this period are like.

But seriously, for a green car, a lot of the green comes from stickers om black bricks. It's also very square, definitely not the best example of a Tiny Turbo style lego car by far.

Just checked... Yep! Still have this one.

STAMP or not, the Tiny Turbos were great as a kid! (I always hated STAMP though.)

(EDIT: Ah, but this one does not have the cursed STAMP anyways. Disregard!)

Aaah, Tiny Turbos! These sets were great!
Mix a Hot Wheels car with a LEGO set and you get Tiny Turbos.

I really miss the time when LEGO used to do small, cheap impulse sets like this...

I never got any tiny turbos, but I was very interested in the fold out race tracks.

Interesting revival of the original Lego cars pre mini-fig, but with modern rather the classic pieces. All the 4 twin sets had these fantastic fold out race track forming two square plates, and two side rectangle plates, which I have only realised now that if you brought all four of them you could have a complete circular track.

Every time I see a Tiny Turbo I smile, bring them back Lego, maybe another of these 12/24 in 1's where you get enough to make 4 cars but they can be in combinations so there are 12/24 if you want...... and of course buying 2 packs means you can keep more built and combine with common parts of your own.....Lets get a petition going......

Back then cheap sets like this would come in not-so-environmentally-friendly but definitely flashy cases that pretty much sold the set at gas stations and such.
Also this might sound weird but I reaallly have a soft spot for the 2 exposed studs at the front.

For those who don't understand the choice of name for the set, I think Thunder is a reference to racing series like V8 Thunder cars. We have those championships in Sweden and Finland. It's inspired by NASCAR but driven on same race tracks as several other racing series

I really want the Tiny Turbos sub theme coming back as sets

I never liked them. They would never stay flat.

While not the best, it still looks pretty good. You know, we haven't had a whole lot of small-scale cars that I would say equaled Tiny Turbos in appearance. A lot of the Creator cars have been clunky, even with new parts introduced in Speed Champions and Cars (which seem to be used a lot as of late for hoods, roof, and trunk pieces.
