That looks like a contraption only a mad genius like Dr. Kilroy could come up with. I love it!

I’m not sure this would be a viable mode of transport
Pith helmet.
A+ set!
If that gun accidentally goes off, he's toast.
I'm feeling lazy tonight so If you want lore just head back to this one:

I must say that's a very, um, interesting control "stick" he's holding onto.
Propelled by imagination!
Luckily he’s got that helmet on with that propeller in close proximity.
I can only imagine just how terribly that thing would fly in real life XD
And sit down Dr Kilroy! You'll take your head off if you put it any closer to that rotor...
Being partly distracted by other things, I glanced at this and all I could think of was, "That doesn't look very much like a computer..."
@chrisaw:
Jackie Chan's movies almost all include outtakes during the end credits. In one movie, he jumps from a balcony to a real helicopter that was hovering nearby. In the outtakes there's a shot where his hat is there in one frame, and completely gone the next. As he jumps towards a real helicopter that's hovering nearby.
Around 2K we had some seriously wierd sets. I can't see any interesting part other than the marvelous minifigure.
Micro? Sure.
Copter? Hmmm...
Back in the day, I thought it was a funny little set.
I build this entire line (except the Kabaya promo's which I don't have) and this set is just odd.
A cheap way to get Dr Kilroy with some tools and a gun.
The parts in this set are not bad.
This just further proves that Dr. Kilroy is Steven Spielberg's father. Compare this to Director's Copter (https://brickset.com/sets/1360-1/Director-s-Copter) and you'll see what I mean.
Back in my day, we didn't have drones... We WERE the drone.
I simply love the classic film camera mold. Brick-built cameras just aren't the same.
I don't have this set, but I do have Dr Kilroy minifig. It's really cool.
Dr. Kilroy’s Pizza Delivery Service
Curious to know what the spade is for, maybe to help the crash investigators clear up the mess. The gun would be more useful if it pointed the other way, but looks like there is not enough space. There is an interesting tile with a picture of Johnny thunder and a dinosaur, is this meant to be the script or VHS video?
I love how perpetually out of place Dr. Kilroy looks. He clearly belongs at a university or in a museum, yet here he is flying a microcopter on Dino Island. His facial expression looks like something's just gone wrong and he's often way overdressed (particularly in the Orient Expedition subtheme). Definitely one of my all-time favorite minifig characters, if not my favorite.
@LegoSonicBoy:
The problem being, of course, that it really only works for a _film_ camera. Dimensions had a really nice design for a VHS camera in the BttF clip from when Doc Brown shows Marty the DeLorean. I can’t remember if I straight copied it, or tweaked the design, but I’ve got a minifig of Marty holding that camera.
@ambr: It looks like you could attach the gun pointing forward, and even orient it so he can reach the trigger.
Adventurers deserves a comeback!
this is a weird set. looks like lego wanted to make a small helicopter didn't have the right colored pieces but still went on to make this set.
My suspension of disbelief is crashing and burning with this helicopter on top of it!
As someone who knows next-to-nothing about the mechanics of what makes any given vehicle work, I'm not qualified to make observations on how well or poorly this thing would fly. That said, it *is* very much a "we've got a few random pieces left over; quick, what can we make out of them?" kind of set!
That's not a criticism, I loved that type! They were weirdly quirky in the best way, and I kind of miss them.
...I also miss how cheap they were...
So many themes had those small flyer sets that often had little to no controls or propulsion, but pure imagination I suppose .
I never had this Adventurers one but I loved those 2 :
2848 : Flying Machine
2847 : Flyer
