Ninjas and Monster Trucks. I don't really know why it works, but it does. Of course, I'm only really talking about the show, I've never been all too interested in the sets. I don't know why (outside of being chained to the Star Wars machine), but the sets have never really called out to me.
The first in one of Ninjago's long line of impractically-gigantic motor-vehicles.
I see Leonardo, but is that supposed to be a Foot Soldier?

same, and agreed
Gotta shred those turbos...
The brick built skull hood ornament is very nice. If you haven’t got the set, but have the pieces for the skull, it’s totally worth the build.
I just took a look at the instructions for this set and I just learned a LEGO Technic geometry trick I never knew before. It uses the engine block frame and shows that it connects to studded Technic beams with 3-long beams at an angle. I never knew that geometry worked so well.
I can't believe this set is already old enough to be a random set of the day
I think this was my first Ninjago set! Crazy to think it's been 10 years.
I used to own this set! The main function was pretty simple to put together but worked well.
This is interesting but I like 2259 more from the same line.
Ah from the simpler days of Ninjago where basic hoods and weapons were all they needed
I'm tired and it's late at night so I'll make this quick:
Samukai, king of the Underworld, needed a method to warp between the Ninjago realm and the Underworld with ease. His skeleton crew kidnapped the recently deceased Dr. Julien (Zane's father) and brought him back to life to build vehicles for them. If these vehicles traveled fast enough they could warp through realms. A squad of such vehicles raided Kai's Blacksmith for a map to the four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu and then traveled Ninjago in search of the weapons.
I had this set as a kid, and I quite loved it! The skull function in particular was one of the highlights on this set, and I played with that quite a lot.
This might be a hot take, but the original 2011 Ninjago wave is still my favorite. I think the contrast between the heroes only having dragons while only the villains had those giant oversized vehicles was a really smart choice that really made the theme stand out at the time. On top of that, the overall simplicity and feel really screams "Feudal Japan" to me, feeling that was quickly lost after the second wave.
I don't really care about Ninjago today as much as I used to when it came out, but its first wave will always have a special place in my heart.
Jump up kick back whip around and spin
This set is Metal with a capital M!
Makes me wish Legacy did more villain builds; might be nice to see this reimagined.
Sounds like one of those LEGO racers monster trucks to me, but this is probably the better set.
Technically this is first Tennage Mutant Ninja Turtles Lego set.
This was the first Ninjago set I ever owned. I actually still have it put together, though I think it's lost some parts over the years. I still really like this one, despite large vehicles typically not being my thing. It's partially just nostalgia, but I also think that the main feature is pretty fun.
I still hope for a Legacy version of the 2505 : Garmadon's Dark Fortress , with multiple skulkins.
But 71722 : Skull Sorcerer's Dungeons was probably the reason we haven't seen it yet. (which was one of my favorite sets of 2020 for sure)
I can remember 10 years ago, the only reason I wanted the set was the caterpillar tracks. Well, a few years later, I started buying from Bricklink, and buying sets to get non-exclusive parts became something I did much less of.
Going by the set number, I at first thought this was DUPLO.
