Nope, they still have the thousand yard stare, there's no curing them.

Belville Garden Fun - it always ends in tears.

If you don't look too closely, the crutches look like assault rifles. Not to mention the wall is a lattice, echoing the similarly unsterile floor in the new Hogwarts hospital wing.

So many health violations!

1) syringe out of biohazard waste container which looks like it doubles as a bedpan
2) kid’s having a beer while being waited on by a nurse — is that pizza delivery?
3) and just WHERE do you think you’re going with that stethoscope, “doctor”?

The kid down the front adopts the same position as my dad (not My Dad) does in front of the TV. Even has a beer in hand?

I’m pretty sure the boy broke his leg trying to climb up the lattice and knock the ball off the arch.

Best part isn't shown on the box, the heart shaped sprue with the hospital accessories.

The figures from this set have been on my Bricklink wishlist for ages now. They are some of the better 3 3/4 scale medical personnel out there.

Why have they dropped that poor kid with the broken leg on the couch? I mean, there's an empty bed, literally right there behind him.

Belville’s lack of sanitary medical facilities ultimately proved its downfall when COVID arrived.

Aside from frozen facial expressions, the figures and the set looks pretty decent. From the seating of the boy, the figures seem to be very articulate.

It's the American healthcare system.

I was gonna mention that this randomization is weirdly close to when they published that set’s review. I didn’t notice the assault rifle crutches, though— remember, no Belville!

I appreciate the consistency of small graphic design details through the years, like how the nurse has the standard LEGO City blue medical logo on her outfit. Neat touch.

I admit I've never spent much time in hospital wards, are they all this casual? I expected more rules about safety

It's possible that they're assault crutches. With the walls missing, the hospital doesn't seem to be in the safest area.

You wouldn't want anything more serious than a broken leg as there does not seem to be much equipment around, apart from a heart resuscitator or is it a 1990's really expensive patient pay telephone!

The beds look a bit small for the patients, unsure how she is going to be able to sleep. Glad there is a safety rail as won't want her rolling over and falling off the edge of the brick plate into oblivion.

Err... I dunno what to say about this. A few cool printed parts. Teddy Bear.
Whatever that kid is watching on the TV looks like one of those really annoying programmes and having spent time in hospital with my daughter I can guarantee that it probably is really annoying and driving everyone else on the ward nuts.

In one of Bricklink's pictures, the nurse is holding it up to her ear, so I REALLY hope it's a phone, otherwise she needs some serious resuscitation training, as I'm pretty sure that's not where you put resuscitator paddles !!!

The doctor looks to be using his stethoscope on the teddy bear. I can't decide if that's cute or a sign that he's not very good at his job.

Having never seen those crutches before, I'm unironically curious if they would work as detail/greebling on a MOC. They're basically a 3.18 bar with a weird, interesting shape from what I can tell. I wonder what other parts fit into the arm clip..

Hmmm...beginning to wonder: Does Belville and Fabuland have the same construction firm...?

Also: It looks like the Maternity Ward is in the same area as Pediatrics...hate the watch the E.R. is mixed with...:)

You know what? I'm open to the idea of Lego Hospital series with all that goes with it, like in Theme Hospital: reception, general diagnosis rooms, X-Ray room, the ward, psychiatric cabinet, autopsy room, morgue...

And so all these rooms can be put together.

It'll be a banger.
