And yet, no hands to be seen. I guess Carl got to them first.

By in United States,

Right now I’m checking out some episodes of Domino Masters, and I definitely picked the better hobby.

...800 pieces for a grand total of $15? Even for basic bricks, that's pretty good.

Curses, you beat me to it

Tsk tsk, folks. Clearly the set name is referring to the tiny mouse cursor hand clicking on the URL in the corner!

If it lost the ostentatious orange, green and grey bricks it would be a proper 'Basic' set!

The only thing close to a hand piece at the time was the Knights Kingdom II hands.

Okay...so, where's the "Hamburger Helper" mascot?

Oh, also: yesterday, a bag; today, a box...suppose tomorrow will be a trunk?

Waiting for the first German to reply there's no cellphone in the box either...

Damn!

When I bought this set I threw the box away.
If only someone had told me that it was so handy, I would have kept it to help me around the house.

By in Hungary,

It sure looks handy if you need bricks.

Already sounds like a good basic assortiment to me. I think they mean the types of bricks. No bricks of the 'brick, modified' category to be seen here. In the Classic theme thats almost everything you get. And even then, in Classic you get 20 different colors too, each of which with a tiny amount of pieces of that color! You know, useful stuff like three shades of pink and purple. Compared to that, orange green and grey sound basic.

@TomKazutara:
That’s clearance pricing, because people would rather pay twice that for a similar set that includes wheels and windows.

By in Australia,

For some really odd reason, my first thought was ‘Holy Box Batman!’

I would have done so, but since you beat me to it there's no need anymore. ;-)

(Most English speaking people probably don't even know that "Handy" is the German word for mobile phone.)

Also may refer to an electrical box with a flat back for mounting directly on surfaces rather than recessed, like on concrete walls.

By in United States,

Theses types of sets are nice, but I have almost never gotten any because they had so many 2 x X bricks, where I always preferred 1 x X. There were not a whole lot of 2 x X used back in classic space/town/castle.

Here in the States, it's an old term for a two-way radio.
