I remember this BrickMaster model. Pretty solid one, too.
I also remember this being one of the first things I saw that had the filled nozzle on the tap piece, and it felt weird because it's supposed to be an exhaust pipe, but it's solid. So where does the exhaust go?

Maybe it's one that is under.
Hold on a minute, that's not a Ferrari

What is Brickmaster? I've seen it pop up in a few sets and then be scrapped like LEGO Club before it.
I have one of these sets, being https://brickset.com/sets/ISBN9780756655198-1/LEGO-Pirates-Brickmaster . Is there anything im missing here?
@MCLegoboy: I'm still annoyed that they filled that hole. Not only does it lead to a lot of uses of the pice looking weird, but you could attack parts with a peg (such as part 28661) to it.

Running from around 2005 through 2011, BrickMaster was a special version of the LEGO Club Magezine that you needed a paid subscription for when other LEGO Magazines and Catalogs were free. In it were extra pages of games and interviews and whatnot, a variant cover to that month's LEGO Club Magezine, for a few years the Bionicle comics were exclusive to it (I think, I'm not absolutely certain), and you would also get a small polybag model that was exclusive to subscribers. I received it for three years between 2008 through 2010 and my subscription ended right before BrickMaster shut down, too.

Right?! The funny thing is, it still has a hole, but it's on the underside where you attach studs, same width, too. Truly bizarre change.

Concerned about poisoning the occupants with an exhaust at that level! More likely to represent a vacuum or compressed air connector, although the same applies re lack of hole of course!
Ah, today we get a toe piece, and a tow truck set. Nice
I can’t remember if I own this set, or if I’ve built it. I did get Brickmaster for a while, but only for the licensed exclusives.
This is one of my favourite of the line of Creator-esque small-scale vehicles. Cute and well-built.
Like me!
I love seeing the “this is the set that hit me into (or back into) LEGO! I love it because…” comments on these sets.
But I guess they can’t all be like that.

I’ve been collecting steady since before the dawn of the minifig, despite my parents’ attempts to steer me away during high school. So, some people just don’t have one of those stories to tell.

Well now I’m imagining a toe truck and that’s an unsettling image…
Hey, this isn't clickets!
When I saw this set my thought process was:
1. Hey, what a big model for a retail polybag!
2. That would be an unusualy good value...
3. Nah, it must be a Brickmaster set.
4. Oh look it is.
And thus, no better value than expected was had for a retail polybag, because it rarely would have been sold seperately.
And all is right in thd world!
Never seen this before, but it looks pretty cool! The weird thing is that at first glance it looked like a pretty sizable truck to me, only when I looked better I noticed it's only 4 wide. Also those round pieces on the front had me fooled for a moment, there's some upside-down construction going on...
So…you can’t do math, then? That would explain a lot…

Bionicle comics were included in both free LEGO Club Magazine and BrickMaster, but the BrickMaster ones had exclusive variant covers.

See, you say that, but for some reason, I am missing all of the 2005 and 2006 Bionicle comics, and I didn't just throw them away, I never threw away any of the LEGO Magazine stuff. Maybe I was just getting very late batches that never came with the comic because supplies ran out.

Well, I meant t he at some sets don’t have that story, either.
@peterlmorris:
Well, no, I’ve never met anyone who even humorously attempted to claim that they came out of their dark ages for Galidor. But I’m one of a mere handful of members of my LUG whose childhood experiences predate the online community, and who never experienced a dark ages period. That’s rapidly changing, though. I don’t think there’s anyone in my LUG ages 25 or below who has ever experienced a dark ages, and I have to credit that to the online community. If you’re going to age out of the hobby, and move on to “grown-up” past-times, nothing’s going to keep you from leaving. But if you’re only going to pack it in because it’s what’s expected at your age, being part of a supportive community vs thinking you’re the only one your age who still “plays with kids’ toys” can make a huge difference. Sure, some people will still go through a dark ages period and rejoin the hobby, but I think the ratio for Gen Z and beyond is likely to be the inverse of Gen X and earlier. Increasingly, you will find more people just don’t have one of those stories to tell, no matter what theme or set is presented.
I remember getting this when I was a kid!
