By in United States,

Just a great set.

By in United States,

I don't know what kind of suspension system that is, but it looks like it would catapult me off the bike. It's the bucking bronco of motorcycles.

By in Australia,

But is it a heroic motorcycle?

Some excellent names we've been getting recently

Why is the front tire nearly level with the back end?

Since this Motorcycle does not steer, you have to constantly be on a 'wheelie'.

@Robot99:
It’s a newborn motorcycle, and it’s romping and frolicking in the sun.

Hmmm...no rider...but in fairness/also: no seat. :D
As well: is this part of a 'shell game/corporation'. :D (in fairness, I do like the wheels)

By in Netherlands,

Ah, the shell promotion from 1998. Those were an eclectic bunch of sets, but some were great to get even all that time later. This one simply for it's tiny size with the function. This might be one of the smallest technic sets that provide a full vehicle with function ever made, if not the smallest!
And I mean small. Not only in part count, but also average part size.
A shame the working suspension works because of a rubber band. Good luck keeping it upright when it disintegrates after a while.

EDIT: 1257 has 24 pieces whereas this has 27. But this one might be a bit smaller in volume because in technic small parts often inflate the part count a bit. Compare the tail light 1x1 with the third wheel of that set. BL doesn't list weight for 1257, so it's anyone's guess unless someone here can weigh both.

It’s from the 90s, everything had to be some kind of wicked trick or sick flip back then

By in Turkey,

There are some sets I get for the parts, not for the model. This would be one of those sets for me. Those yellow rims really catches the eye.

I always like small technic sets.

I believe it would qualify as "xtreme!" as well.

When I wrote this, I was referring more to the shape of the motorcycle itself than the posture. I dunno, it just looks a little off to me.

But the replies that this generated have been gold, so who really cares lol

By in Germany,

I'm mainly confused as to what that little Sticker was good for. All the shell Sets of this range had them, each depicting the Red number on the Box. Anyone any Idea?

Also this set's instructions gave a nice Preview on teal and purple as early as october 1997...

My version on this set has that sticker placed on the front of it. Seemed a reasonable place to put it.
No idea about the other sets in the range though, none really have a good or obvious location.

Probably just thrown in as an extra though and not intended to go on the set in any way.

By in Germany,

Why are the Shell promo sets listed as being from 1998? I can confirm what Atuin said, that those sets became available in late 1997, not 1998.

There it is: my first ever TECHNIC set. As small and simple as it is, it was very much unlike any LEGO set I had built before, and therefore I remember struggling quite a bit to put it together with its axles, pins, and beams instead of the conventional bricks. Even so, it laid the groundwork that would make me a big BIONICLE fan shortly afterward.
