I like the fact that this wasn't the standard helicopter-boat-airplane trio you often get with Creator 3-in-1 sets. It was a helicopter and two planes, one modern, one vintage.

I bet that helicopter has no trouble flying in the fog.

The first year that they abandoned X-Pods in favor of much-less-interesting canisters.

Sets like this were good. Easily affordable for kids with pocket money but still cool. Nowadays Lego seems to think everyone is a millionaire who can spent $1000 on a Lego set.

It would be really interesting seeing a minifig scale version of this, with the ability to build all 3 models. I just wish Lego's minifig-scale biplanes were more realistic.

Indeed, it's often a boat / airplane / helicopter :

31096 : Twin-Rotor Helicopter
31126 : Supersonic-jet
31092 : Helicopter Adventure
31071 : Drone Explorer (drone is basicly a helicopter here)
31057 : Air Blazer
31029 : Cargo Heli
31039 : Blue Power Jet

But 31094 : Race Plane and 31099 : Propeller Plane had the Helicopter / Jet / Prop Plane combo.

By in Turkey,

I admit, I got this set only for the parts. It has tiles, slopes, modified 1x1 parts, wings and 2x2 turntable. What more can you ask for from a tiny set...

I suppose if your set is called Mini-Flyers it's a bit difficult to justify a boat being in there

Ah, one of the good small sets from yesteryear! This one is so well-detailed for its size. It reminds me of the Dino Attack/Dino 2010 helicopter with its overal shape and four giant rotors.
But most of all it reminds me of the other of such sets in this era. They came in tiny plastic canisters with transparant lids. Good times!
It's a shame that recently they seem to have stopped making the yearly small set of this size. They weren't always that novel, but they sure were nice as impulse buys!

Re: Plane/Heli/Boat Creator sets, I've got a Brick List about that:

There's A LOT, but there are a number of exceptions like this one too.

From Mike Psiaki's notes in his Bricklist on 31013: "The very first product I worked on. I thought I was being really clever and original to make an airplane and a boat as alternate models. Then I looked at every creator helicopter ever. Oh well, it's still cool!"

My addled brain read this as “mind flayers”. It was very confusing.

I feel enormous nostalgia for this set and others in the pod series, although this was my first of them. They were fantastic for travel and followed me on family trips for a couple of years.
