I guess they cut down most of the tree for the wood to make the house.

Yay! A friends RSTOD!! One of my favourite 2012 Friends sets! Just simply charming

By in Netherlands,

1st wave of Friends, and the first of 13 Friends Tree Houses (at least based on this tag)

https://brickset.com/sets/tag-Tree-House/theme-Friends

If we exclude employee gift and 2 squirrel houses, still makes it 10 , which makes it almost 1 a year, over 11 years of Friends (some years had none, some years 2, not including 2023)

As for 2023 , Dogs get a tree slide in 41727 : Dog Rescue Centre , and Cats get a tree in 41742 : Cat Hotel

I still sort of regret not getting this one. Although I did get Olivia's other (and bigger) house that year, 3315.

Did you see the Santa doll in the advent calendar. Positively disturbing!!

KGB Santa is here to help you!

By in United States,

I snapped this up for my daughter (who was far too young for it at the time) expecting it to go the way of all Lego "girl themes." Thankfully, here we are ten years later and Friends has been an excellent theme still going strong!

If it don’t have Mia it ain’t for me-a.

I took my kids to LEGO Kid’s Fest in Hartford, Connecticut that year (I wish they would bring that back) and my son got this set. Great set!

The bird is like that tree WAS my HOME! :P

I bought this used off Ebay in 2013. My first time buying something used. Only half of the tree parts were in the set & no cat, even though listed as a complete set. Thankfully those parts weren't why I wanted the set and I learned not to leave a review until after put together.

@TheOtherMike:
I think that’s the one I won as a door prize. Still haven’t opened it because none of the parts interested me.

Well, most of us were distracted by Dreadflipper, the emperor penguin and scourge of Antarctica on his blood-soaked throne.

Gosh, that was a good advent calendar.

Last year I picked up a bulk lot. It had 23 complete friends set in it with instructions. And this was one of them.

He doesn't care if you've been naughty, he doesn't care if you've been nice. Decorum will not spare you from his reign of blood and ice.

I’m only disappointed it’s not an olive tree

By in United Kingdom,

I own 3 of these from bulk lots. Tempting to try and build a version of 21318 from them

One of my early charity shop finds that started my Lego journey. Must have been 2015 & picked up a few sets to put aside for my (then too young) eldest.
Given all three were building & playing with Lego last night, it was obviously the right thing to do

I hated most LEGO Friends sets, this one and Olivia’s house were okay in my opinion. They were the ones with the least amount of pink bricks.

I don't mind the pink parts, but I hate the purple ones (sorry @PurpleDave). But I still got a lot of friends sets over the years. They are just great city sets when you replace unwanted colour and dolls with minifgs. This here is a prime example, it's a proper tree house with lots of foliage, very good!

Yeah, the only other treehouse that comes close to it or exceeds it in my opinion would be 31010 Treehouse.

By in Netherlands,

This set always stuck out to me as oversized, but I suppose it's actually to scale with Olivia's house next to it.

For some reason my main memory of this set is the few Eurobricks reviews that came out back then to give the theme a try and me later looking up the instructions to find out how basic the build was. Winter 2012 was right before the expansion of brackets that made more SNOT building possible, so for the time it was alright in terms of complexity.

I pranked my brother by putting this set on a Christmas List ‘written’ by him. Needless, to say, he wasn’t happy!

Strange memory, but a memory regardless.

I want to know what Olivia is going to do with the blue tub at the top of the tree.

I'm assuming she isn't going to carry the cat up the narrow ladder and give it a bath! Is it just for a lookout, or is Olivia going to bathe in it?

I'm assuming it's filled with mascara. See also that intensely unhappy bird.

I think it's just meant to be a "crow's nest" style lookout, while not as pirate themed like 31078: Tree House Treasures , I think it's still a similar purpose here, a nice piece to make a compact lookout at a treetop with just 1 piece.

Those flowers and insects accessories would be fun to try and make a mini botanical moc.

And filled with handcreams for when her 'friends' show up to play:
'It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.'

I always beam with pride when LEGO fans conjure up eldeitch horror lore to the FRIENDS line. It's too much fun. I'm glad that the gals in the target market love these, don't get me wrong, but hey, those of us outside that market still get to have a great time too.

Hail Dreadflipper!
