Bionicle, Star Wars, Star Wars, Bionicle, Belville...
Balance has been restored.
Quick, hop in the coach, we have to escape from My Dad!
Now I want a cartoon about a sentient/anthropomorphic coach who struggled to find work after the widespread introduction of the automobile and is now teaching high school sports due to continual misunderstandings from their employment agency.
Free idea for anyone that wants to run with it, but I wouldn't say no to a concept credit.
Thats a lot of work for one horse. It's pulling a glass chest, diamonds, gold and two people
Oooo, those transparent arch pieces look fun. Belville always was a good spot for recolors like that.
While I was late to the party, Nocturn's lore is on his RSotD now
I thought it was going to be a Tony Muser minifigure

Mackinac Island uses two horses for the first part of their carriage tours, but they do have to handle a steep uphill climb, and they’re pulling at least a dozen people*. As long as the carriage isn’t made of teak on a steel frame, I think one horse would be adequate for level ground at slow speeds, over short distances (say, across town).
*It’s not as bad as it sounds. They alternate morning and afternoon shifts, so the horses end up working 4 on, 16 off, 4 on, 24 off.
I don't have this set, but I do have 11021, so I have a mini-scale homage to it.
Such a cute couple, but who’s steering?
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh.
Anyone else think it's weird that "Royals" have to ride "Coach"...you'd think they'd be able to get "First Class"...:D
What is up with the creepy fairy flying over them?

Got strong mime vibes to it. Do not trust
The final moments of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and Duchess Sophie (Belvillized).
I'd love to get this set for all the chrome and transparent pieces, but I'd hate for anyone to see me with this set in hand.
The clear trunk steals the show.
I have the distinct memory of having seen this one when visiting a classmate from school. It was either the only lego set she had or the only one I remember. It was one of the only times I had ever seen Belville in the flesh.
Seeing its homage in the 90 Years of Play made me smile for that reason.

Honestly I thought "Royal Coach" might be something you sarcastically call first class, implying that they'd still be slumming it so to speak if they used the fanciest option available to normal people.
what is that fairy???? any lore about this one?

That is a pastel-goth vampire, either swooping in for a meal, or leading the carriage to her crumbling palace where she will arrange to rent or purchase an old English abbey.
"Bellville: When Paradisa makes you realize you need an alternative to minifigures but you massively overcompensate, and then have to wait a decade to get your equilibrium back and make Friends"
One of my daughters favorite sets. She recently requested return of her Belville sets. She wants to rebuild them for display in her new home.
Barbie, but in lego form.
