Interestingly enough, not only was this set released under two different numbers, but the numbers were one digit apart. 5876 is the same set. I thought this looked familiar, so looked at the set entry to see if it was released under another number, and if so, if the version with another number had been RSotD, and I was right on both counts.

I like the kid chillin’ on the sofa with a cast on the leg and a cold one in his left hand.

By in New Zealand,

This isn't much like a hospital ward at all. With the bright colours, flowers, TV, phone and a comfy couch. But i guess it is specifically a Belville ward.

By in Australia,

When I said "break a leg", this was not what I meant!

By in Canada,

Hospital ward with a sunken living room area and used hypodermic needles in the corner.

1994-1996 belville the origin of the "phone horn" piece https://brickset.com/parts/design-6190 , just not listed on brickset in that color (Medium Green has not been made after 2004)

First time I encountered the piece was in 1997 set 6559: Deep Sea Bounty in white , but not as a phone but a clever light setup on top of the boat mast/crane.

Only if they survive.

Hmmm...must be one of them new-fangled "Open Concept" hospitals...good for emergency access, bad for weather...keeping sterile conditions...privacy...:D

By in Poland,

That syringe must have been great for heroin addict MOCs. Bricklink however doesn't have that part in the database.

I had the same encounter as you :-)
Looking at pictures on bricklink, this part is already too big for Belville figures, let alone minifigures.

They do. But as it came supplied on a sprue, that is in the inventory. But the part is on BL, and belongs to the sprue which belongs to the set.

I can forgive the doctor trying to listen to the teddy bear’s heartbeat; after all he’s probably just humouring the child.
I won’t forgive him listening to a heartbeat via the arm, however. Show some professional standards, man!

Some Belville-sets are treasure-troves of rare and interesting parts in exciting colours.

This set is not among them. I still like those giant lattice-panels, but they would show up in more interesting sets as well.

I don't know what kind of hospital this is, but it's clearly not up to the right standards. Who's leaving medical equipment on the floor like that? Not only is it a safety hazard having that kit on the floor, it's open, and there's a needle sticking out from it! Someone's getting fired.

By in Netherlands,

Leave it to Belville to create the comfiest hospital ward known to mankind.

By in United States,

The lunatics are running the asylum in Belleville! There is no other way to explain the "Doctor's" odd stethoscope antics, and the medical devices on the floor. He's not a doctor, he's just a patient in a lab coat. Same with the "Nurse".

It actually kind of reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe's "The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether", to be honest.

He is trying to look sexy confident for that nurse, isn't he?

@Arnoldos:
@CCC:
It's also listed under Belville parts, not minifig utensils.

@ICAbricks:
You're in luck! It's not Belleville. It's Belville. Totally different thing.

The phone identifier has always been disproportionate. It's even disproportionate to any phone device Lego has tried to make.

Cette gamme a une particularité importante : elle a des pièces absolument introuvables dans une autre gamme et parfois, quelques trésors.

Belleville has an important feature : it has absolutely untraceable parts in another range and sometimes, some treasures

3664 just called on its own oversized phone. It just wants to know how we're doing, because it's wholesome like that.

By in Poland,

I don't know, it looks more like an adult movie set in a "leisure hospital" to me, but I wouldn't really know of course.

@TeriXeri:
@kyrodes:
The correct term for a combination receiver/transmitter is a handset.

@kyrodes:
The handset is slightly oversized for the Belville figures, but the phone base is oversized compared to the handset. Usually part of the receiver and transmitter would hang over the sides. Sets like 76122 actually have very well-proportioned phones, albeit more of a 90's fashion style vs the old thiefbeater phones you'd get directly from the phone company. Those would really need an extra 2x2 plate underneath.
