How timely. The new Deadpool & Wolverine movie is coming out soon.
And goodness, 76281 has certainly improved the design of the X-men jet. This one looks terrible in comparison!
At least this X-Jet wasn't egregiously overpriced

I was going to say that too! Love the Wolverine suit here with the brown
Could Storm even do anything to Magneto here? Shooting lightning at the guy who controls the Electromagnetic Spectrum? Good luck with that.
Sentinel is too small a scale: should be more Ent-sized. But still can grab a minifig so that’s cool.
Fun fact: you can use the Sentinel head from the Marvel Series 2 Wolverine CMF on this Sentinel, giving it a damaged, pink head.
Great timing, I just started rewatching all the X-men movies in preparation for Deadpool & Wolverine, I'm not even fifteen minutes into X-Men yet.
The set itself is fine. Cyclops' head looks weird, though in universe I'm not a fan of his covered head look either, and as others have said, the sentinel really should be bigger. I hope one day we'll get one in minifigure scale, similar to the size of Arishem in 76155
I bought the new version just a couple weeks ago, using a bunch of VIP points I had banked. The fig selection is basically the same, just swap Storm for Rogue. I like the look of most of the figs in the new one, and the jet is WAY nice in the new one.
But old one has a Sentinel (If a bit small) and wasn't horribly overpriced.
I didn't realise this set existed until a few years after release (growing up in regional Australia as a LEGO fan has its downsides), but this was one I kind of wanted back when I found out about it. I'll probably get the new one over this, but I like how it isn't egregiously overpriced.
Fourth time I've hit the trifecta!
@casloren:
Including Last Stand and Origins Wolverine? I'm sorry. You have my deepest sympathy.

In a row, or just in general?
I don’t like this one much better than the new one but at least this one wasn’t so overpriced.
That Storm minifigure is awesome. Nothing else interested me in the set.
Comments on the new one (76281) summarized: OVERPRICED (egregiously, horribly, egregiously and so)
I liked this one when it came out, and I know next to nothing about the X-men.
I still do actually! A spaceship thing and a robot thing. What's not to love?
Hey, I rebuilt this set just the other day!
I got this set in dribs and drabs over the years, a while after it was discontinued. First the minifigures and a Sentinel through Bricklink and eBay, then I found the X-Jet in a comic shop in Yorkshire. Then when it came to making my X-Mansion MOC, I decided I needed more Sentinels - I think I have 6 or 7 now!
I dunno, maybe it’s just because this one comes with a Sentinel but I kinda prefer this to the new one

In general; the previous times were the days 7116, 8553, and 9495. I've only hit the trifecta of ¬* owning all three multiple days in a row.

I had recently rebuilt 5510 when it got selected. Always cool when something like that happens.

They are rough, but I must persevere. I also have to sit through Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix, and New Mutants, which are similar in quality, if not worse, so I'm for a tough time.

Ooh, you deserve to sit through Origina for saying that…

I really wanted to like New Mutants, for trying something different with superheroes and going the straight up horror route. Alas, they weren’t willing to also try things like “a good script” or “a plot that doesn’t nosedive into nonsensical”
Brown suit Wolverine helped bring me out of my dark ages. Thanks, 76022!
With how few X-Men sets there've been, it's kind of a shame that they picked this version of Magneto over any other X-Men villain, or even his classic costume again. I'm very glad to have a few X-Men in their superior 70's-80's looks, though.
They should add Deadpool in there.
I remember seeing this at the Nuremberg toy fair back in the days and writing about it in a forum that it is terribly overpriced.
I didn't have a clue back then.
I picked this up a few years back, after it was out of print. It wasn't too far over original price, so I was fine with that. I mainly wanted the minifigures, especially Wolverine, Magneto and Storm. Cyclops wasn't my favorite, but this version is fine. I'm glad there was a Sentinel included, even if its comically undersized. I wanted to like the X-Men Blackbird jet, but it just never sat right with me. It honestly looks and feels more like a boat than anything. That has always disappointed me about this set.
But, as others have stated, I'm not buying the current set until they slash the price in half or lower, because its totally overpriced crap.

SH032 Deadpool was in the first ever X-Men set, in 2012 (two years before this one), 6866, with Wolverine and a different Magneto.
This was the second set I bought when my dark age ended in 2014, after 76021 Milano Spaceship Rescue. I actually really like both the jet design and the Sentinel build in this one, even if both take some artistic licence with the source material.
I started collecting Marvel figs and managed to pick up 6866 soon afterwards, before prices got silly. I wonder if we'll ever get an MCU Deadpool minifigure?
I want to sell mine. No space in my collection and the newer one is more desirable, despite the price.

The X-Men and Deadpool movies aren't part of the MCU. To quote the first Deadpool move, "Timelines are confusing."

But Deadpool & Wolverine will be.

With the multiverse established all the movies can now be considered part of the MCU.
So there is hope that we will get a Dick Purcell minifigure and the Dynamic Vibrator in a future MCU set.
