Certainly a step up from 30250!
"Ladies and gentle tourists, looking around my Mystery Shack, you'll see many wondrous roadside attractions. Be amazed, at the only known photo of an eagle... riding another eagle. That's... that's pretty good."
I wonder if it could enter Mordor without any hassle...
QUICK LORE!!!
The animals drank Chi to become intelligent long ago!
Some animals chose not to drink the Chi and left for distant lands, they became known as Legend Beasts!
When the Scorpions, Bats, and Spiders took over Chima, a brave band of heroes set off to find the 8 Legend Beasts to save the land!
Those evil forces managed to capture the Bear Legend Beast and two of the Eagle Legend Beasts eggs, putting them on a seesaw like spire where taking one would cause the other to fall!
Our heroes managed to rescue both the Bear and the eggs, so the Eagle joined their team!
QUICK LORE!!!
62 sets in one year! That's more than Star Wars. I'm surprised they released so many, seeing as the theme wasn't that popular. But a lot were magazine gifts and promotional stuff I suppose.

Paint it grey, back and tan, cover it's eyes and yes!
Best of the Legend Beasts by far! If only it wasn't 75% more expensive than it was back in the day...
I always thought these sets were so cool. Took full advantage of newer curved slopes/plates modified and spared no expense on the figures.
First time since the RPotD went on indefinite hiatus that I've had both.

"Spared no expense?" Now I want a dinosaur Legend Beast.
Probably my favorite of the Legend Beast sets. Fondly remember my sister and me getting two of the Legend Beasts and building them together in the lobby of the movie theater before watching The Lego Movie.

Eagles "ride" each other all the time. It's a regular occurrence for various migratory raptors to get tangled up with each other whe fighting over territory.
The legend beasts are my favourite Chima sets. They make for a great, affordable collection of sets which use plenty of (the then brand new Mixel-) joints and can be built into great alternate builds, on their own or as combiner models. You also get a lot of the main characters, many of which only appear in larger sets otherwise. And they just work for what they are supposed to be!
The Eagle Legend Beast is not my favourite because I already had an Eris and the wings are a bit static. But it's still a great set!
- Mom can we have 71047-6 ?
- No we have 71047-6 at home.
71047-6 at home:
Chima was a good theme IMO. Very creative, unleashed ideas I dare say, with great minifigs, play features... A bit like Ninjago. I liked it.
Lego rarely makes cool small sets like this nowadays.
I really want to swivel those eyes around and see what kind of expression I could give it
Ah yes, Chima. The theme where Animals insert a strange, powerful substance into their bodies to gain energy, or intelligence.
Yeah, that sounds like some sort of Drug to me, but that's just my opinion. What I really want to know is what this drug means to the Animal Crossing / Fabuland tie-ins!
