It's hard to tell who's ambushing who here, for all we know the guy and the dino could be teaming up to ambush the bush.
Ambush and attack have basically the same meaning.

Clearly it's the other way around. "Am bush, attack!"

How do do you know the bush isn’t the one doing the attack? Maybe it’s an am-bush.

A bush coming to life and attacking a dino and ruffed up man. Wasn't that scene in the second Lego Movie?
What did Am the bush do to be attacked?
Don’t attack the bush. Beat AROUND the bush.
lol that raptor's got buck teeth
Dino 2012 was just the best, wasn't it? Just the best.

Judging by the hollow leg, I'd say that raptor probably lost a few teeth in bar fights. Probably talks with a whistle, now, which probably only results in more frequent bar fights.
Great small intro to the Dino series. Honestly, I think Dino is my favorite original Lego theme. I don’t see a lot of discussion or nostalgia about it but I always loved it as a kid and I have all seven sets. This one in particular was one of the best sets of that size/price range of 2012. Maybe I’ll get this set back out and write a review on it.

Not really.
Attack is an offensive action against an enemy.
Ambush is to attack from concealment, relying on surprise.
So, an ambush is a particular kind of attack.
I JUST BOUGHT THIS SET 2 WEEKS AGO! Lol. And I love it.
This is the set that got me into Lego. I never had any as a kid, and when my 3 year old at the time was given this a decade ago, I loved it. And then when I discovered Star Wars Lego, it became a very expensive addiction
...clever girl
I look at the set and see great potential in the ATV as a sci-fi MOC.

The American Revolutionary War is a perfect example of the difference. The British redcoats were professional soldiers, better equipped, and with a numerical advantage. They traditionally relied on direct attacks, which probably resulted in many enemies fleeing the field of battle rather than risk being wiped out to the last man.
The Continental Army soldiers were fighting for their homes, so really had nowhere else to flee to (plus, they kinda picked the fight, expecting to get some bruises along the way, but intending to ride it out anyways). With little prospect of surviving direct battles fought on the British army’s terms, they opted instead for guerrilla warfare, frequently ambushing the British troops from concealed positions that were more easily defended.

no No NO- you've all got it wrong. The dino, bush, man, and car are all teaming up against something off the picture... Maybe even against Huwbot's paragraph.
This was a fantastic small entry set into the Dino line. I had this one and the Pteranodon one.
A coelophysis! At the time I didn't immediately know what that was, but after I learned more about paleontology I learned it's a dinosaur from the Triassic. One of the earlier ones, from the time they didn't 'rule the earth' yet and shared the world with many other strange creatures.
Pretty cool to see that lego chose this one to be depicted. It's a slight bit big (although larger specimens might have come near this), but not nearly as much as the 'raptors' which are big even for utahraptors. But they make for good toys I guess.
The vehicle and bush are so-so. I had one from a bulk purchase for a bit. The sides can swing open and there's trans. orange boat sliders under them that swing outwards. Maybe a defense mechanism?
I wish I'd gotten this one. For one thing, the dinosaur in it is a species that you don't see toys of nearly as often as such things as Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Velociraptor, Stegosaurus, and the like. Side note, my spell checker didn't recognize Velociraptor, but knew the other three I typed. What dinosaurs this thing knows and doesn't know always amuses me.

Then in the Vietnam war, the American soldiers were brutally picked off by North Vietnamese guerilla warfare ...much like the tactics the USA themselves had employed almost 200 years earlier.
Isn't is terribly strange how history repeats itself like that?
John Lewis clearanced this set at a couple of quid. I had so many of those little dinosaurs after that!

@StyleCounselor :
But if it took Lucasfilm ten years to get around to registering "droid" as a trademark, this wouldn't have been in violation of anything when it was released. If the trademark had been registered, this would have been a clearcut violation, being a robot that's called a "droid", unlike the Apple Corps/Apple Computers kerfluffle. Personally, I think that latter one got blown out of proportion, since the Beatles hadn't registered "Apple", but rather "Apple Corps". Would they have gone after companies named "Bad Apple", or "Big Apple", or "Applesauce" as well, just because they include the word "apple" in the name?"
First, remember, that registration doesn't mean much on its own.
Second, that's an intriguing question. As we previously discussed, Lucas sued BSG/Universal. They counterclaimed, in part, based on the argument that Lucas infringed on the idea of a mechanical person. In the end, they settled.
So, the pertinent issue is, what IP claim does Lucas really have to 'droid?'
As a long-time Sci-Fi reader, I always thought it was part of the existing domain of common parlance. It also might belong to Universal or some other older reference.
I felt that Lucas' telecom deal was just a marketing gimmick.
Finally, my original comedic comment was somewhat serious. In that, it is common contract language to obtain IP clearance for future projects as well as as perceived past possible infringements (really, why not add that language?).
Thus, that set might retroactively be the first SW set (i.e., covered by the SW IP contract).
As a douchebag lawyer, my thought is that the real issue could be whether Lego owes retroactive license fees to Lucas/Disney for that set?
Follow the money, baby! ;)

@Murdoch17:
I watched the Ken Burns documentary, and he basically explained that the Kennedy/Johnson administrations believed it was a war that they couldn’t possibly win, and they told the American people that we were getting out of there. But then they were actually increasing the number of troops being sent there, not reducing them, except they wouldn’t send enough to really do much more than get them killed. My dad said the troops were under orders to only carry a small amount of ammunition on patrol, because SecDef McNamara was afraid that, if you gave them more bullets, they’d use them.
Yoda would have had some choice words for all of these people.
