The whole set is a bit fragile, but looks great in my Kashyyyk display with the other sets from 2005. In my opinion, the Tank Droid is the best aesthetically, but the other tanks are better constructed though. I like the orange and blue color scheme which is much more interesting than the bland grays of the other Tank Droids.

Wow, that looks like a good value for $30, even by 2005 standards.

I like the color of the NR-N99 Persuader-class droid enforcer much more with the sand blue and bright orange than the drab gray of later iterations (even though this is inaccurate to the source). This is the only iteration that allows for a droid to enter (although the NR-N99 itself is a droid, thus does not need a pilot, and indeed this opening is non-canon. IIRC it is also larger than the other versions as well.

The spider droid is more interesting color wise than later versions, but overall the later ones are significantly better structurally and poseability wise.

The Raddaugh Gnasp fluttercraft does not show up much in the film (I only really recall seeing it once but it has been a while since I've seen the film). Considering the year the set came out it matches the feel of the vehicle fairly well. However, is is extremely fragile with the wings, and easily falls apart.

I would like to see the Wookie vehicles redone. In the more than ten years since their initial release I think a good set could be made from at least one of them.

I must admit as bsic this set is ornicopter looks great even for today standards.

A great looking set that is conspicuous by its absence in our collection. As said above great RRP too for a set with 5 minifigures! One day we'll pick it up, as disappointingly I can't see Lego revisiting it any time soon.

Great set with some nice colors in the C.A.T.D.

This is a great set for the price, with each vehicle or droid within it well reproduced and a generous amount of minifigures. Times have certainly changed in that regard!

Well worth picking up for your Star Wars collection if you can.

I used to have this set and it was gorgeous. However, if you looked at it sideways it'd collapse.

@Zordboy Thing about humans is we're very, very good at seeing patterns, even when they don't exist. What people think looks 'random' is usually not very random at all, because we object to seeing, eg, 4/11 star wars sets, because that looks like a pattern to us. In fact, the odds of this combination of sets is the same as any other combination of eleven sets. We just happened to get this one. See also: shuffle mode on an iPod, which isn't random at all, because it's biased against repetition.

If we left this running for a year or so, you should see a proportion of star wars sets that matches the proportion of star wars sets in the database - which I suspect is rather high anyway, it's a major theme.

As for the set: boy, the wookiees have big lips.

This set sells for an absurd 200-300$ online. The Lego community destroys itself from within with these outrageous prices for backstock products. Its impossible for newcomers to enjoy the older products when they are 10 times the original release price.

I always found the colors of this tank weird. Traditionally (in both film trilogies) Star Wars' villain vehicles are in drab and intimidating colors while the heroes are in bright and striking craft. The trans orange and sand blue create an insane amount of contrast on the tank droid and just make him pop *too* much. If they replaced the orange elements with a less striking color, like trans yellow, it would probably work better, but as it is it doesn't fit in with other baddie vehicles and the two colors don't mesh well.

It will be really great if LEGO releases an updated version of this set or anything Battle of Kashyyyk related.

Such a shame that I never go this set! I have loved the ornithopter since I played with it on the complete saga game ! Wish Lego would make a new one!

This was a neat little set and I'm glad I picked it up on ebay years ago for a reasonable price. I didn't realize at the time I would end up with four Tank Droids (2 of 7748), the version from this set and 75015 but hey the ornithopter is cool and the Wookie's are great!
