Review: 40301 Bat Shooter
Posted by Huw,LEGO certified stores in eastern Europe are often a good source of polybags and other sets that are gifts with purchase, or not readily available, elsewhere.
This is where 40301 Bat Shooter came from. Kev, the founder of our favourite charity Fairy Bricks, discovered a small quantity of these in Zagreb, Croatia and was kind enough to bring one back for me to review.
It's packaged in a much larger polybag than you'd expect for a 40 part set. It's polythene rather than the usual polypropylene.
That's because, as well as the bricks, it contains a cardboard target showing three of Batman's adversaries.
It doesn't take long to construct the shooter that resembles Batman's logo. There's a disc shooter element in the middle and a couple of 2x2 tiles to project from it.
Once built you can have fun shooting the tiles at the villains!
So, overall, then, not terribly exciting but it should provide a lot of fun for kids, and of course polybag collectors such as myself will be glad to have it in their collection.
I have no idea if it'll become more widely available, but I suspect not given marketing of TLBM has pretty much ceased. Thankfully it's available from BrickLink from a couple of European sellers for a nominal sum so head over there if you need it.
Thanks again to Kev, and by way of thanks for him facilitating this review please donate to Fairy Bricks to help them continue the fantastic work they do in providing LEGO to children in hospitals around the world.

Best LEGO set of all time. Hands down.
Completely off topic-ish, but was there ever any kind of resolution to the Fairy Bricks auto theft from a few months back?
^ I came here wondering the exact same thing
No.
Man, no judgment here (I understand how much more of a challenge a review of a large set is than a review of a polybag), but every day since Brickset started uploading pictures of Noctura's Tower I've been hoping to wake up to the full Brickset review of that set and every day I wind up disappointed.
@Lyichir
This is a pretty pointless set, but any reviews are always welcome.
As for Noctura's Tower: there are a lot of sets that haven't been reviewed here, but then, there A LOT of sets that have been released (and that one's only been out for a month in the UK).
You could always do a little review yourself on the set page - it doesn't have any yet. (Though I do fully acknowledge that I haven't yet contributed any reviews anywhere at all...)
Any information on the Ninjago Training Kit?
Thanks for this.
