By in United Kingdom,

Heard some rumours that this sets to be remade in 2019 but can’t remember where i heard it from. I wouldn’t mind having this set myself it looks decent

I would love a remake of the Shrieking Shack. It could include all the characters from this climactic scene in the film and the building might loosely follow the design style of 10228 Haunted House, albeit at a smaller scale.

I remember thinking this set was so overpriced here in Canada. Think it was roughly $75. I still wanted it though, but ultimately never pulled the trigger.

It would make absolute sense they’d remake this set, it would fill the gap of missing important characters like Sirius Black and Wormtail.

I never bought this set but I reckon a remake of it must definitely be in the post!

Given how far building techniques have come, the increased variety of elements and just the high quality bar of the new Wizarding World sets, I’d expect something pretty special.

I only ever saw this set in the LEGO Magazine and before I ever saw the movie, I totally thought there was going to be a Wolfman in green clothes running around. I didn't know anything about it at the time, or the Wizarding World, and I just assumed that there might have been a race of Wolfpeople roaming about. LEGO sets have come a long way, and I'm sure a minifigure of Lupin as a Werewolf would look much better in a remake.

We wanna talk about that big ugly brown box piece? :P

This set has such great parts and colors and I wish I had gotten it. I bid for it on E-bay and the price just skyrocketed to $90 used. But some people think it is really weird with the transfiguration shed. Part (48316c01). I would love a new separate Honey Dukes, too. This set has so much potential. I would like a brick built werewolf Lupin.

By in Australia,

I can vaguely recall actually buying this set, just for the purpose of turning the shack into an actual liveable Lego house for my city. I can't remember if I succeeded or not, to be honest.

Gosh, I hope they redo this next year along with a proper Privet Drive set and The Burrows. And we need a Tonks minifigure already!

So how did that switcheroo box work anyway? You put it down, press something and lupin is switched to werewolf lupin or Sirius is switched to a dog. Just something just spin around inside the thing?

By in Ireland,

I bought this set years ago and still have it on display in my room :)

By in Portugal,

LEGO should make a remake of this set.

That 48316c01 box part seems to be the mother of all parts except plates. Scary stuff.

Strange Lupin wears a green jacket on the box art but the set comes with his regular torso print. Thus, the jacket torso was never released.

The new Whomping Willow set does feature the entrance to the Shrieking Shack, so here's hoping we see an updated shack in the next wave.

An updated set would be excellent --- I'd particularly love to see an updated Lupin!Werewolf figure, just because the old one wasn't really accurate to how he looks in the movie. It'd be brilliant to have a proper Honeydukes too.

A harry potter set on the day that harry potter officially returns to LEGO shelves?? What were the odds?! :P

Still think that changing box is one of the coolest Lego elements ever

I'd love to have loads of those large printed windows, they'd look so good for MOC's, but I'm sure they cost a small fortune on Bricklink. Lupin looks like a Frankenstein-like Fabuland/Minifigure creation gone horribly wrong...

My Mum bought this for me on eBay. It was glued together and missing the minifigures. Still have it but it is a waste of space

Update - So a few hours and 10.00 later and I now have an order placed for 3 of those windows. Thanks so much Huwbot for making me spend money on "must have" pieces that I didn't know existed until today. Hope I've got a few of the 1 x 4 x 5 door frames to go w/them, or back to Bricklink it'll be.

I think Huwbot is actually a covert Bricklink agent in disguise. No doubt he's made them buttloads of money.

^ I have that suspicion too, given the amount of I've spent thanks to these random daily sets.
