10227 UCS B-Wing review
Posted by Huw,Brickset member cavegod has his hands on the forthcoming UCS B-Wing and has written a brief review, including photos of the parts, the build and the finished model.
For expedience I've published it as a PDF. You can also view the images in his flickr stream.
Take a look then tell us what you think. Worth £180 or would you, like cavegod, expect more for your money?

Thanks for the review. Gave me all the information I need!
This doesn't seem like a great value to me. The overall design is great and it's a beautiful set, but the price point is too expensive in my opinion.
Hmmmm...not sure about the multicolored step in the middle, I know Lego likes to throw in contrasting colors to the structure of models, (and I know they won't seen when it's complete) but it seems a little much.
Looks like another wait until May 4 2013... :)
an easy pass for me this one, not because I don't like it, but on a value for money, display awkwardness, lack of any new minfiigs etc. I love most things Lego are doing now, which means I have to be selective. Nobody here can buy everything, err can they?!?
Quite a cool model but with no figs and at that price one I'll probabY pass unless it gets discounted heavily in the future.
Who the brick is Twenga>>>>>
?!? :P
EDIT: Advertisement company... -_-
Thanks for the PDF format. that IS expedient.
How can you give a set 10/10 while writing about so many flaws? Unless this is 50% off, I am not even thinking about it.
The flaws do not put me off the set.
It looks like a brilliant model but the price is just ridiculous. In my opinion it should be about £120. I can see Lego losing out big style on this one.
I know they have to pay for the licence but £180 is just seems greedy to me.
I will hang on until its discounted.
Looks pretty good, but far from a classic! Thank you for the excellent review cavegod.
Good set plus good review and photos but about 50% too expensive
Would love to have one though at the right price and I actually like the colourful hidden innards that Lego likes to use...
I'm going to buy this set for sure. But it's not a must-have as other UCS-sets were before. It will be my 15th UCS Star Wars set, and it's a pretty one, but the WOW-factor isn't that big aymore.
Maybe it's because I'm in love with the Lord of the Rings sets...
Here's what I don't understand. This set has less pieces than 10225 R2-D2, 640 to be exact, and yet it retails for $249.99 CDN, which is $20 more than the R2-D2 at $229.99 CDN.
I'm having a hard time comprehending that. Sorry lego, but not gonna buy day 1.
I will definitely be buying this one with a discount of some sort. My Question is what is with the 2 Brick Separators. I literally have 8 already! Lego seems to want every child to have one no matter what.
Nice Review, I was @ brick fiesta when it was announced.
At a guess, the two separators was a mis-file on the production line and he got lucky :-)
Like others, it's a nice set, but has just one or two too many flaws for the price. Waiting for the discount in a year or two, even though it would bracket my Imperial Shuttle, ARC, Y and Interceptor models nicely...

Zoom in on the parts inventory in his review. It specifically lists Brick Separator x2. I always have two separators on me whenever I'm breaking a set down... it definitely comes in handy, and it looks like this set has enough plate on plate building that it'd be useful. But if it's between getting TWO of these suckers (of which I have 4) and paying maybe $5 less for the set? I choose the latter.
