- As a kid, my interest in LEGO peaked between 1989-94. I loved the new space sets of the time: M-tron, Blacktron II, Ice Planet, & Space Police II. They had a great combination of inter-playability and fantastic color schemes - Neon Green & Black and Neon Orange & Blue - doesn't get any better than that! I also had a large collection of Town sets in my youth. Combined with a 400+ piece bucket of TYCO blocks and my imagination, a lot of time was spent playing, building, and "designing" vehicles, buildings, and terrain for my LEGO sets to explore and conquer.
Then, for roughly 15 years, save for a small AquaZone set and the first X-wing as a Christmas present, I entered my LEGO Dark Ages.
In early 2010, a temporary marriage of excess spare time and catching up with the first two seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars led me to purchase set 8088 - ARC-170 Starfighter and at that point, my Dark Ages had officially come to an end. Things had changed quite a bit since I'd been gone: the pieces, the building techniques, the features, the accuracy, and even the community, as I would come to find. This was definitely something I wanted to be a part of.
Mostly, I'm a collector at this point, but I'm a collector who loves building and hates dismantling sets for this purpose. Always have (that's what the TYCO bucket was for!) As my collection of "spare parts" increases, thanks to LEGO & Bricklink, so will my ability to build.
My largest collection consists of Star Wars sets, but I'm also interested in the old space sets listed above, Space Police III, Atlantis, Monster Fighters, Lord of the Rings, modulars, architecture, and pretty much anything else I consider challenging or aesthetically pleasing. - Contact:
